A 20-year-old student in China reportedly built an AI-powered speed radar system in just nine days using Claude, spending around $20 on AI calls during development.

Developer Eric Lu created Ghost Font, an experimental visual technique that hides text from AI by revealing the real message only through motion instead of a single video frame.

The system can also display a decoy message that AI models may interpret incorrectly, while human viewers watching the animation can still understand the intended content. It explores a new way of separating how humans and AI perceive visual information.

Although still a prototype, Ghost Font could inspire future CAPTCHA systems, AI evaluation benchmarks, and new methods for testing how effectively vision models understand video rather than individual images.

XChat is X’s encrypted messaging service, supporting one-on-one and group conversations, file sharing, disappearing messages, and audio and video calls. X says users can chat without exchanging phone numbers, using their existing X accounts instead. 

X has also introduced optional “X Numbers” — private codes that can let people message or call users who do not follow them. The code is not a phone number and is not required when normal Chat access is available. 

The service uses end-to-end encryption for Chat content, while X says associated metadata such as recipients and timestamps is not encrypted. X’s encryption implementation is being developed as an open-source project in Rust. 2

Meta unveiled Muse Charm, a small keychain-sized device built around its personal AI agent, Muse. The gadget has a display for the customizable Muse avatar and is designed to provide quick access without opening a phone or app.

Muse itself can handle tasks such as sending emails, booking travel and working across connected apps. Meta says the agent can also continue working on longer tasks after the user closes the app, returning when it needs approval or when something changes.

Meta says Muse Charm is expected to ship around the December holiday season, although pricing and some hardware details have not been finalized. The device is being positioned as another way to interact with Muse alongside phones and Meta’s AI glasses.

Someone tested Grok’s live camera feature by pointing a phone at GTA V gameplay, and the AI reportedly interpreted the virtual robbery as if it were happening in the real world.

According to the viral demonstration, Grok initially warned the player about the consequences of armed robbery. The situation became stranger when police appeared inside the game and the AI reportedly shifted toward giving escape-style driving directions rather than recognizing that it was watching gameplay.

The experiment highlights a major challenge for multimodal AI: seeing what is happening in an image or video is not the same as understanding its broader context. A model may correctly recognize cars, weapons, police, streets, and movement while still misunderstanding whether those things are real, fictional, staged, or displayed on another screen. As live-camera AI becomes more common, reliable contextual awareness could become just as important as raw visual recognition.

GPT-6 Astra was put through a 141-hour Minecraft test by independent evaluator Vals AI. The model made substantial progress, including building a semi-automatic Blaze farm, collecting six Blaze Rods and finding three Ender Pearls.

Then a Creeper destroyed its chest and bed, wiping out the valuable items it had stored. After the setback, Vals AI reported that Astra spent several hours mainly farming potatoes instead of continuing its progression.

The experiment became a striking demonstration of long-running AI agents: Astra adapted its behavior after mistakes, but describing the behavior as “depressed” or “traumatized” is a human interpretation, not evidence that the model experienced emotions.
