Mashed potato, chicken, bread
The world is currently going through the most devastating crisis of our time. I am not sure how we got here but we are here and all in this together.
What I do know is that this must be the most unnerving time for our elderly. To be in fear of your life and isolated from your family would be just devastating but to go through it at their age is just heartbreaking. For a grandparent their grandchildren are their livelihood - they live and breathe for them - and now with the virus this has been taken away from them suddenly. Just imagine the loneliness they would be feeling.
This is the time where we need to reassure them that they have loved ones and support around them.

I ask that everyday you reach out to the elderly, pick up the phone- call them, tell them you love them, send them flowers, essentials or just simple ask them "How was your day?" Just remember it was the edlerly who fought for our rights and freedom, without them we would not be able to live the lives that we live or have the freedom that we have and now it is OUR time to fight for them!
