Most construction schedules never reach the people building the job.

We built Outbuild to change that.

Built for construction. Web based. Unlimited users. Collaborative, in a way the old standard never was.

Now we're hundreds of contractors and thousands of projects in, and the schedule is just the core. On a $200M build, your team shouldn't be making calls without data to back them, so we've tied in an executive dashboard with the reporting you need to make informed decisions.

Some teams switch to Outbuild without having a scheduling problem at all.

One contractor told us their coordination was already happening. It just lived in hallway conversations and side notes instead of the schedule.

Outbuild brought it into one formal process. They piloted on a handful of projects with a single question: is it at least as good as what we do today?

The answer? Yes.

A team won't adopt a scheduling tool they find clunky, no matter how many features it packs in.

We hear it a lot: the old tool had a button for everything and a reason for no one to open it.

That's why teams come to Outbuild for something the field will use, with fewer clicks and less clutter.

One contractor piloted us on a single project. Now every new schedule they build runs through Outbuild.

Any schedule looks great until the weather rolls in.

There are hundred of variables in a construction project, weather is just the easy one to picture.

Building the schedule was never the problem. Adapting it when the job changed was.

Does updating the schedule ever feel like diffusing a bomb?

"I'm not hiring you to tell you what to do. I'm hiring you because our Head of Customer Success, Mike Wong, thinks about building a team.

He's tried command and control — here's a rigid process, all the thinking's done for you, now fit into it. And he's tried the opposite: you ask him a question, he asks one right back. You're on the team because you're the best person to get this work done, so what do you need from him?

He leaves it open and lets people fill it.
The effect is bigger than just things getting done. People feel empowered to make their own calls and come up with things he never could have.

Because he's not close enough to the work. Same way a GC isn't close enough to the wall to know exactly what it takes to build it perfectly, on time, under budget.

If you run your schedules in Microsoft Project, this one's for you.

Project Online goes away on September 30, 2026, and Microsoft is steering everyone toward Planner. The catch: Planner was built for general project management, not construction.

So the move isn't really optional anymore. The only question is where you go next.

What's broken in construction? It's how we treat each other. 💔

The hardest problem in this industry isn't the schedule. It's that we don't treat each other like people.

It's called contracting for a reason. We hide behind paperwork. Behind signatures. "Well, it's in the contract."

The second you have to say that, you've already lost. Nobody does something with heart just because it's on a piece of paper. They'll do it physically, but there's no soul in it.

So treat your people like humans. And not the break-room-poster, aspirational-culture kind. The real kind. On every job site. In every office. Every single day.

That's the part that makes all the difference.
