The place I come from is sort of an automatic setup for failure. It is one of the roughest areas in my country where young people who spend time on their laptops are rumored to be doing something illegal whether or not it is the truth.

This is the place I broke free from, determined to be different. In a place filled with crime and all the negativity in the world, I pushed myself forward until I became someone I was proud of. I let my identity be the fuel that drove me to greatness.

You might wonder who I am and what I do.

My name is Victory Akpomedaye, a digital entrepreneur with ten years of experience in the online space. At the time I set out to be a digital entrepreneur, the online space hadn’t gained as much traction as it has today.

So you can imagine the explanations I had to give to family and friends alike to convince them that I was investing my time and energy into something worthwhile. Yet, I didn’t let that deter me.

My first laptop was gifted to me by my father in 2009. That was the beginning of my journey in the online space. I spent days and nights learning everything I could about digital marketing, taking courses, and studying resources.

The more I studied, the deeper in love I fell with my chosen path and I just knew that I would spend a huge part of my life being a digital entrepreneur.
