We are discussed in this report. We are proud to say all data to and from the children are always 100% COPPA compliant and safe. We've even created a patent to protect their privacy.

"...if a general purpose home device is directed to children, the device will fall under the umbrella of COPPA requirements. For example, the Smarty by Siliconic Home, Inc. (currently in development) is a child-facing home assistant designed to control lights, answer questions through a voice interface, and help with homework. This kind of device, described by the company's co-founder as an "Amazon Echo for kids," would be considered 'directed to' children under COPPA."

The panel is on: Your assistant in the home: Devices such as the Amazon Echo can provide general information and music services by voice interaction at a distance, but also control connected devices in the home. What is available today, and how will home assistants evolve?

We discussed the challenges and successes we've experienced. Voice interfaces are the next important advancement in technology and it requires more than just speech recognition.
