Alias Smith and Jones is a lighthearted Western television series that follows two outlaws, Hannibal Heyes and Jed "Kid" Curry, as they attempt to reform and live honest lives. Formerly among the most successful train and bank robbers in the West, the pair is offered amnesty by the governorβon the condition that they stay out of trouble for a year. Under the aliases of Joshua Smith and Thaddeus Jones, they travel from town to town trying to avoid bounty hunters and lawmen while secretly helping others along the way.
Though they try to avoid violence and lawbreaking, their past often catches up with them, forcing them into tricky situations where their wits, charm, and skills come into play. The show mixes humor, action, and heart, showcasing the duoβs struggle to leave behind their outlaw ways.
