Yesterday I told you why I built Heirloom. Today I want to show you what's at the center of it: the Vault and the Memory Keeper.
THE VAULT
Every family on Heirloom gets a private vault. Think of it as one secure place where your entire family's story lives.
Voice memos. Photos. Videos. Written stories. Everyone in the family can contribute. Your mom records a voice memo about growing up. Your dad uploads photos from the '80s. Your grandmother shares a story through a simple guest page (she doesn't even need to create an account).
Everything is tagged, searchable, and organized automatically. No folders to manage. No files to name. You just capture the moment and the AI handles the rest.
This is the opposite of what most families do now, which is scatter memories across a dozen phones, apps, text threads, and hard drives and hope nothing gets lost.
THE MEMORY KEEPER
This is the feature I'm most proud of.
Memory Keeper is an AI that learns from every single thing your family puts in the vault. Every voice memo, every photo, every written story. It reads it, processes it, and remembers it.
Then you can have a conversation with it.
You can ask "What did grandpa do during the war?" and get a real answer drawn from actual stories your family has shared. You can ask "What recipes has mom talked about?" and it pulls together everything she's ever mentioned about cooking across voice memos, text entries, whatever.
It finds patterns too. Shared traits across generations. Traditions that show up in different decades. Connections between family members that nobody explicitly stated.
The more your family adds to the vault, the smarter it gets. It's a family historian that never forgets a detail, and it works for you automatically.
The free plan includes 20 moments per month and full access to Memory Keeper. If your family is serious about preserving your story, the paid plans unlock unlimited moments and a lot more.
Tomorrow I'll show you the feature that made me smile (cheese) the first time I tested it.
