A recent joint advisory from the FBI, NSA, CISA, and cybersecurity agencies across 18 allied nations warns that Russian state sponsored hackers are actively exploiting vulnerable routers to gain access to critical infrastructure, businesses, and government networks.

For years, we've said the home network is the first line of defense. Today, governments around the world are saying the same thing.

This is also why recent FCC actions to reduce reliance on certain foreign made networking equipment are so significant. The conversation has shifted from faster WiFi to trusted, secure networking infrastructure.

At Gryphon, we've spent years building security directly into the network, protecting every connected device instead of relying solely on software installed on each one.

As cyber threats continue to evolve, securing the edge network itself is becoming just as important as securing the devices connected to it.

For most people, the WiFi router is just another box sitting on a shelf. Once it is plugged in and the internet works, it is rarely thought about again. That mindset is changing. A recent joint cybersecurity advisory from the FBI, NSA, CISA, and security agencies from 18 allied countries warns that....

The UK's decision to ban social media access for children under 16 highlights a growing global recognition that online safety has become a public policy issue, not just a parental challenge. Countries around the world are increasingly looking for ways to protect children from harmful content, addictive algorithms, and online predators.

At Gryphon, we've long believed that protecting families starts at the network edge. While regulations can help, parents also need practical tools that provide visibility, protection, and control across every connected device in the home.

The future of digital safety will require a combination of smart policy, responsible technology, and solutions that empower families to create safer online experiences without sacrificing connectivity.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Britain will ban children under 16 from using social media apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube from early next year.

Botnet Infects over 14,000 routers underscoring the need to have more secure routers with automatic software updates and design from the ground up to be more secure.

A newly identified malware strain called KadNap has quietly taken over more than 14,000 home routers and the majority of victims are in the United States. Discovered by researchers at Black Lotus Labs (Lumen Technologies), KadNap primarily targets ASUS routers by exploiting known vulnerabilities. On...

Let this sink in:

The device sitting quietly in your home is now part of the global cyber battlefield.

The recent warning from the National Security Agency to reboot your router immediately is not just another cybersecurity tip, it’s a signal of a much larger shift.

U.S. agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are responding to active nation-state attacks targeting home networks, specifically exploiting vulnerable consumer routers to steal credentials and redirect traffic.

At Gryphon, network protection has been the mission from day one!

Just did an interview with INVST Guru on the evolution of Gryphon and where we’re headed.

We started Gryphon with a simple idea: protect families at the point where the internet enters the home. Over time, that’s expanded into a broader realization that the router isn’t just a connectivity device, it’s the most effective control point to stop threats before they reach any device on the network.

That thesis is becoming even more relevant with the recent FCC restrictions on certain foreign-made networking equipment. It’s a clear signal that routers are no longer just hardware, they’re part of our critical security infrastructure. As the market shifts toward trusted, security-first solutions, we believe Gryphon is well positioned at that intersection of networking and cybersecurity.

In the interview, we discuss our growth, OEM partnerships, and how this shift is opening up new opportunities as we scale.
