June 13, 2018 - “You better come on in my kitchen…” sang Robert Johnson as the finest creole food served west of New Orleans hit the table. I suggested peanuts and pennies as an offering to Papa Legba, the Voodoo Loa who stands at the spiritual crossroads and gives permission to speak with the spirit world.
I discussed Portalogy - my unifying theory of ghosts and the Dahlia Effect. I explained that spirits can only return to our earthly realm at the location where they died and only if in life they were “entangled” with the physical matter there. That is why there are no sightings of Abraham Lincoln on the West Coast!
Guest David shared a frightful and out of place dream he had while at a Best Western in New Orleans. He’d later learn that the details of his nightmare vision eerily matched up with the gruesome murder of Addie Hall by her boyfriend Zackery Bowen (Hurricane Katrina holdouts), where her dismembered body was found on and in the stove at the apartment they lived in above a Voodoo shop.
Robin, Gayle & David all completed a relaxing 5 minute Chaffee Chair Challenge. We used a Huff Paranormal designed Mini Portal Spirit Communicator hooked up to a P-SB7 Spirit Box for David’s session. During preliminary evidence review I heard David’s name, the number of people in the room and the name “Edison” (There is a legend that Thomas Edison had invented a “Telephone to the Dead” and later claims by Frank Sumption & devotee Chris Moon state that Frank’s Box was a spirit influenced completion of Edison’s lost design). The oddest moment is when I chuckle at the sound of the 5 minute timer alarm and then my chuckle is again repeated through the ghost box - impossible but it happened!

Robin: “Yankee Jim, did they botch your execution?”
EVP: “Oh Yeah”
During Robin’s line of questioning Ghost Techer Sky witnessed an electric blue light that “fizzed” near my laser pointer.
Robin: “Yankee Jim, did you ever kill anybody?”
EVP: “The bastard put a knife in me”
Gayle: “I’m here close to the Whaley House. I’d like to talk to Violet…if she’s here.”
EVP: “Killed for Edward” [Strange, her failed marriage was to a George T. Bertolacci”]
David: “Spirits, can you identify yourself?”
EVP: “Of course not.”
