Formilla desktop apps for Mac and Windows are available for download. Login to your Formilla account and go to Settings -> My Apps to find the appropriate download link. With the desktop app, you will not need to remember to keep a web browser open to your dashboard… just keep Formilla open right in the dock.

You can have chat transcripts sent to any of your own email addresses that you need. Just sign into your Formilla dashboard, click on Settings on the left, then enter the addresses you need into the “Send all chat transcript to” field. Note that this field is only available on the account owner login. You can add addresses for archival, replying to your visitor at a later time, or even add your ticketing system email address so a ticket is created whenever a transcript is generated.

You can ban visitors if you are receiving spam messages or being harassed through chat. You can ban an IP address by clicking on the “Block Visitor” link found in the Technical Details section in the right rail. You can also manage any Banned Visitors or enter an IP address manually by clicking on “Settings” on the left side of your Formilla account, then clicking on “Banned Visitors”.

If you have new visitor alerts turned on but you are tired of creating alerts when you go to your own website, you can even ban your own IP so you no longer create new visitor alerts. Don’t forget that you did so if you need to view the chat button again though… the button will not be visible while you are banned.

Use Pre-Chat fields to collect information before a chat session starts. You can make the fields required before a chat can be started, or you can leave them optional to make sure all your visitors stay to chat. Department selection is also available as a Pre-Chat Field so your customers can reach the right members of your staff.

Invoices for past subscription payments can be found in your Formilla dashboard. Just sign into your dashboard as the account owner, click on “Settings” on the left, then click on “Billing History”. You can add or edit your company info by clicking on the link. After adding any company information you want reflected, then click on any invoice link to print or save it as needed.

Users that have not been granted the Billing permission will not see the Billing History section in their dashboard.

You can upload a picture, change the display name, and pick the job title for each user you have created! Just go to Settings -> Users, then click on the edit icon next to the user you want to customize.

On the Edit User screen, you will see fields for editing the name and job title that appears in chat sessions. There is also a link to upload the picture you want for the agent. You can use a portrait photo, or you can use an icon or a company logo if you prefer. Use the photo that represents you best!

We recommend using a picture that has a pixel size as close to a 1:1 pixel ratio as possible. This ensures the photo will not be distorted when it appears in chat.
