Innovation Digital was recently granted US Patent 10,911,029 for its breakthrough approach to low-power, wideband nonlinear equalization (NLEQ) and digital pre-distortion (DPD) linearization. The Innovation Digital LinComp® Multi-Dimensional Compensator provides performance similar to Volterra filters and generalized memory polynomials with a fraction of the processing resources (often with no multipliers). Innovation Digital Announces Enhanced Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) Technology

Innovation Digital, LLC announces a new technology for significant improvements in adaptive self-interference cancellation for full-duplex, simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR) applications. The technique was to be presented at the GOMACTech 2020 conference in March in San Diego, California (however, this year’s conference was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic). The patent-pending technique leverages Innovation Digital’s powerful and resource-efficient nonlinear processing to accurately model transmit path harmonic and intermodulation distortion, enhancing the digitally-assisted RF cancellation by an additional 15 dB compared to conventional techniques. This enables full-duplex radio operation (essentially doubling the communications capacity). Combined with proprietary adaptive processing and source separation techniques, the approach provides 70-100 dB levels of cancellation for extremely broadband signals (>1 GHz bandwidth) using commercial off-the-shelf parts. Innovation Digital, LLC announced its breakthrough low-power, adaptive digital pre-distortion (DPD) linearization digital signal processing for ultra-wideband RF power amplifiers this week at the 2019 IEEE Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers. The patent-pending multi-dimensional nonlinear compensator technology has been demonstrated in real-time FPGA hardware to linearize over 1 GHz instantaneous bandwidth, and it uses no digital multipliers for significant power savings.
