⚠️Realtors⚠️ Building a business reliant upon platforms or "reach" you don't own is a business model built on a house of cards. One change in the algorithm, a contract with a vendor, or a change in the economy and everything can quickly come crashing down. It happens every shift.
The only sustainable recession proof "marketing system" I've seen survive every kind of market from the 07 crash to Covid, is building a strong personal brand people know, like, trust, and refer.
But the only way you can do that is through consistently communicating to the same audience over time. When you reach this point, you'll start attracting....
Real estate is a popularity contest. People don't buy or sell real estate with strangers, they do it with people they know, like, and trust.
The key is being remembered and remaining top of mind. But here's the key, you have to be omni-present, which means they need to see you everywhere. You need to be seen on social, on email, and in print. When you're everywhere people start associating your name with real estate.
But here's the math behind what I'm saying and why it works.
This year its reported that roughly 9% of the population will move.
At the same time 100% of the populaiton knows someone they can refer you to.
So do the math and apply it to your own reach. 9% of your FB friends, IG followers, people in your phone, and that you come across each day will be moving in the next 12 months. At the same time 100% of them can refer you 1 person. This is not debable and facts.
The business is right in front of you if you know how to extract it because over 80% of people hire the first person they meet with. Most people chase leads, hurus with bad advice, or outdated "prospecting" systems they know they wll not follow up with.
And that's why 80% fail, but that's also the opporutnity too. Knowing that everyone else is chasing transactions while we chase relationoships is why attraction agents continue to win even in this market.
