San Antonio Startup Week is almost here!

This year, Webhead + Quantum Realm Computing are proud to help power the AI & Applied Innovation Circuit throughout the week.

San Antonio has an incredible community of entrepreneurs, technologists, students, researchers, business leaders, and people simply curious about what comes next. Who gets to build the future?

This week, Bill Gonzalez is in Toronto at IEEE Quantum Week, surrounded by some of the world's researchers, engineers and technologists working on what comes next in quantum computing.

And because it is Hispanic Heritage Month, I've been thinking about something beyond the technology.

Who sees themselves in these rooms?

Hispanics remain significantly underrepresented in physics and many of the scientific disciplines that will shape emerging technologies like quantum computing.

That matters.

The next generation of Hispanic students shouldn't only hear that AI, cybersecurity and quantum are changing the world.

They should be able to see people who look like them researching it, engineering it and helping shape where it goes next.

For our family, that makes this week a little more personal.

Bill has spent years quietly doing the deeply technical work: researching, experimenting and pushing into areas most people are only beginning to hear about.

Today, through Quantum Realm Computing, that curiosity is becoming part of something larger: helping organizations understand and prepare for what comes next.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, I'm proud to celebrate our culture and our history.

But I'm just as interested in celebrating our place in the future.

Because somewhere there is a young Latino or Latina who hasn't considered becoming a physicist, quantum researcher or engineer yet.

Maybe seeing someone else in the room is where it starts.
