We updated our video recorder to look more like Loom's.
This is something we resisted for years...
We wanted ours to be unique, just to show we were different.
But we finally caved.
Why?
Most of our customers switch from Loom. So even if our design was "better," that sheer fact that it was different made it difficult. Users had to learn a new UI, and that was adding friction to our onboarding.
And most people don't switch to Sendspark for our video recorder anyway... They switch to create personalized videos at scale for sales outreach. (We're "video for sales, that scales" ✨)
So it makes sense to pour all of our time, energy, and innovation in making THAT experience exceptional, vs reinventing the basics for recording videos.
And of course... this isn't a straight copy. We listened to feedback from customers, studied all of the top video recorders in the industry, and then made it our own.
We also refactored our code, so along with the design updates, you'll find Sendspark faster and more reliable.
Still… We're not saying to switch to Sendspark just for the recorder. It’s going to be similar to what you're used to.
But we hope you use Sendspark to make personalized videos at scale… And find it easy to record all of your videos!
