At the beginning of a new quarter, I take a weekend to reset.

I call it my "CEO Reset Weekend."

It's a full weekend - not just an hour. I work through a dozen different action items, all designed to help me step back from the day-to-day and get clear on what's next.

At the core, I'm asking myself three big questions:

What went well last quarter?

What didn't go as planned?

What's the vision for the next 90 days?

Everything else - the offers, the pricing, the messaging, etc. - flows from those answers.

I also revisit my website blueprint. Because just like a business, a website isn't a "set it and forget it" project. It should evolve as your business evolves.

This quarter, I've been making adjustments - refining my offers, updating my pricing, and rethinking how I show up online.

It's all part of the same framework I teach in my book, From Idea to Blueprint. Strategy before ex*****on. Brain before hands. A blueprint before a single line of code.

Here's my question for you:
What's one thing you're resetting or adjusting for Q3?

June is almost over.

It has been quite a month for me.

I stepped on stage at the Venture X Northwest Last Thursday Networking Breakfast. While I have been a guest on multiple podcast shows and webinars, this was my first live speaking gig.

I shared my website planning framework with a room full of San Antonio business owners.

But the presentation is over. The work starts now.

If you've been following along this month, you already know the core message: strategy before ex*****on. Brain before hands. A blueprint before a single line of code.

Here's how you can apply it:

πŸ“˜ Grab my book - "From Idea to Blueprint" is available in audio, Kindle, and paperback. Link in the first comment.

πŸ› οΈ Build your blueprint with me - If you would like to work with me one-on-one to build out your custom blueprint, my $297 Website Roadmap Session is the next step. We'll map out your entire website strategy in 60 minutes. And the fee applies to any project later.

NOTE: price increases to $497 after July 1.

Here's my question for you:
What's one thing you're taking away from this month's content?

What a morning!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined me yesterday at Venture X Northwest. Your energy, questions, and curiosity made it a fantastic experience.

Here's the one question I got during the Q&A:

"Is your book just for those who don't yet have a website, or can people who already have a website benefit from it?"

It's a great question - and the answer is both.

Whether you're working on your first website, your next one, or refreshing a current site, my book provides guidance for all these scenarios.

My website planning framework works for new builds, redesigns, and everything in between. Strategy before ex*****on. Brain before hands. A plan before a single line of code.

Missed the event? You're not out of luck. You can grab a copy of my book in audio, Kindle, or paperback - or download a free sample chapter. Link in the first comment.

For those who were there, and those who weren't:

What would you have asked if you were in the room?

I wrote my book, "From Idea to Blueprint," because I couldn't find anything like it - a resource that showed entrepreneurs exactly how to use AI to plan a professional website, step by step. Now I get to teach it live.

πŸš€ 3 days away.

On Thursday morning, I'm stepping on stage at Venture X Northwest to present a live talk on website planning in the AI era.

Every slide I'm sharing comes from my book, "From Idea to Blueprint"

The blueprint framework. The audience-first approach. The AI prompts that help you plan faster. It all started here.

"AI is going to replace me."

I hear this from San Antonio business owners all the time. And I get it. The headlines are loud. The fear is real.

But here's what I've learned after working with AI tools every single day...

AI isn't here to replace you. It's here to handle the busywork so you can focus on what actually matters - strategy, voice, and decisions.

Think of it this way...

AI is like a brilliant intern. It can draft, summarize, and suggest. But it doesn't know your business. It doesn't know your voice. It doesn't know your audience the way you do.

That's still your job.

My book, "From Idea to Blueprint," shows you exactly how to use AI as your planning partner - not your replacement. ChatGPT prompts that help you clarify your audience. AI tools that speed up the planning process. But you're still the one in charge.

I'm covering this mindset shift at my live presentation on June 25 at Venture X Northwest (8:30 AM).

Here's my question for you:
What's your biggest fear or question about AI in your business?

Drop it in the comments. Let's talk about it. πŸ‘‡

Most website problems aren't technical. They're strategic.

I see it all the time. A San Antonio business owner launches a site that looks good - clean design, nice colors, professional photos.

But six months later? No leads. No inquiries. Nothing.

The issue wasn't the code. It wasn't the hosting. It was what they didn't plan before they started building.

That's what I call the "Brain vs. Hands" problem.

Most people jump straight into the "hands" - picking templates, guessing colors, adding pages - without ever engaging the "brain."

The brain comes first. Strategy. Audience. Structure. A blueprint.

Skip this, and you're building on sand. Do it right, and everything after gets easier.

Chapter 1 of my book, From Idea to Blueprint, explains why this framework matters - and how to get the brain engaged before the hands touch a single line of code.

I'm bringing this framework to life at my live presentation on June 25 at Venture X Northwest (8:30 AM).

Here's my question for you:
Have you ever started building a website before you had a clear plan?

Drop a "yes" or share your story in the comments. πŸ‘‡

You can network all day. Exchange business cards. Make great connections.

But if your website doesn't speak to the people you just met, those connections go cold.

I've seen it happen so many times. A San Antonio business owner attends a networking event, has five great conversations, and hands out all their cards.

Then those people visit the website. And... nothing.

The site doesn't answer their questions. Doesn't address their problems. Doesn't look like it was made for them.

The networking worked. The website failed.

That's why I wrote Chapter 5 of From Idea to Blueprint. It's all about knowing your audience before you build a single page.

I'm covering this - and how to fix it - in my live presentation at Venture X Northwest on June 25 (8:30 AM, I speak at 9:15).

Here's my question for you:
Has this ever happened to you? You network hard, but your website lets you down?

Drop a "yes" or share your story in the comments. πŸ‘‡

Your business changes. Your website should too.

That's Pro Tip #3 from my upcoming June 25 presentation at Venture X Northwest.

Most people treat their website like a finished product. Launch it. Forget it. Hope it works.

But here's the truth: a website blueprint isn't a one-and-done document. It's a living framework.

Your goals shift. Your audience evolves. Your offers change. If your website doesn't reflect that, you're leaving leads on the table.

That's why I recommend revisiting your blueprint quarterly.

Small adjustments, made regularly, keep your website working for you - not against you.

I'm sharing this tip (plus two more tips) live on June 25 at Venture X Northwest.

San Antonio locals: The event starts at 8:30 AM. I speak around 9:15 AM. DM me for the registration link (coming soon).

Not in San Antonio? The full website planning system is in my book, "From Idea to Blueprint."

Question for you: How often do you review your website? Once a year? Once a quarter? Never? Drop it in the comments. πŸ‘‡

"Stop building backwards." πŸ“–πŸ’»

That's the hill I'll die on when it comes to website planning.

Prep mode is in full swing for my June 25 presentation at Venture X Northwest. Right now I'm refining the "Website Blueprint Foundation" section - which, if you have a copy of "From Idea to Blueprint," is Chapter 4.

Most people want to talk about fonts and hex codes before they've even defined their target audience. That's like picking out leather interior for a car that doesn't have an engine yet. Looks nice in the driveway. Won't take you anywhere.

On June 25, I'm stripping away the fluff to focus on how to plan a site that actually converts.

San Antonio locals: The event starts at 8:30 AM. I speak around 9:15 AM. DM me for the registration link (coming soon).

Not in San Antonio? The book covers the same framework. You can grab the Kindle on Amazon.

Here's a question for you: What's one thing you wish you had planned better before your last website project? Drop it in the comments. πŸ‘‡
