Last Monday was a big day for us - we announced the launch of MACH. Our origin story is a decade in the making, and plenty of people shaped it. One customer experience in particular is worth telling you about.

We worked with a steel manufacturer with dozens of plants. Their operators were completely disconnected from the management team, so what was happening in the shop hour to hour was unknown to those in the position to best respond to it. Being a high mix shop, making an educated guess was the best they could hope for.

Those gaps in their knowledge showed up in the P&L (eventually), and made accurately pricing jobs near impossible.

We were able to build a bespoke system to connect to their machines directly, and along with context provided by their operators, we were able to provide the data they needed shift by shift, hour by hour to fill in the gaps. They used that data to make material improvements to how they operated, resulting in increasing run rate by 20% and reducing changeover times 45%.
