Small behind-the-scenes story: we used to have a feature called Alerts & Objectives. Basically a checklist — here's what's wrong, go fix it.

It worked fine, until the pace of things (especially with AI search changing what "visibility" even means) made a static list feel like the wrong tool for the moment. People didn't need more items added to it. They needed to know what mattered most right now.

So we rebuilt it as diibInsights: a feed that actually moves with your site's data, instead of a checklist that just sits there getting longer.

Ever had a tool you built or used stop being enough, even though nothing was technically "broken" about it?

Common assumption worth challenging: if you fix everything on your website's to-do list, you're in good shape.

Reality: not everything on that list is equally important. A broken headline on your most-visited page matters a lot more than a missing tag on a page nobody sees. Treating a 40-item checklist like 40 equal priorities usually means the wrong five things get your attention first.

Completeness isn't the goal. Doing the right things first is.

Quick question: when your website has a long list of 'things to fix,' how do you actually decide where to start?

Most tools just hand you the full list and let you sort it out. diibInsights does it differently, ranking what's actually worth your time first, benchmarked against businesses like yours, instead of leaving you with forty unordered problems.

A short, ranked list beats a long unordered one every time.

What's your current system for prioritizing your site's to-do list, if you have one at all?

Small follow-up to what we shared earlier this week: it's not all bad news on the AI search front.

Recent reporting says Google has started showing more links inside its AI Overviews and AI Mode results, specifically aimed at surfacing more original content and a wider range of sources instead of narrowing everything down to a handful of citations.

It doesn't erase the concerns about fewer clicks. But it's a real sign the platforms are still adjusting this, not locking in a version of AI search that permanently sidelines smaller sites.

Anyone else feel a little better hearing that, or still skeptical?

Here's something that sounds like a contradiction but isn't: you can rank #1 on Google and still be basically invisible to AI search tools.

Ranking measures your spot in a list of links. AI visibility measures whether a tool like ChatGPT or Google's AI Overview actually trusts your content enough to mention it in an answer. Those are two different things, and doing well at one doesn't guarantee the other.

This is still new territory — nobody's fully figured it out, including the platforms building it. But paying attention now beats catching up later.

Is this something you've thought about for your own business yet?

Quick, no-jargon explanation of a phrase you've probably heard a hundred times lately: "AI visibility."

It's not the same as ranking well on Google. Ranking is about whether your page shows up in the list. AI visibility is about whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overview actually mentions or recommends your business when someone asks a related question.

You can have one without the other. A lot of businesses are only paying attention to the first one right now.

Had you heard this term before, or is this the first time someone's actually explained it plainly?

Here's a number that stopped us for a second: a recent study found people click the source cited inside a Google AI Overview only about 1% of the time.

Basically — the AI answers the question right there, and most people never make it to an actual website, even the one Google is crediting.

It's one study, not a universal rule, and it probably plays out differently depending on the industry. But it's a real signal that 'ranking #1' and 'getting visited' aren't the same promise they used to be.

Has anyone noticed this in their own traffic, or is this new information to you?

Quick question: when your website has a long list of "things to fix," how do you actually decide where to start?

Most tools just hand you the full list and leave you to sort it out. Forty things, no order, no explanation of what matters most.

We think that's backwards. A short, ranked list of what's actually worth your time beats a long list of everything that's technically imperfect.

What's your current system for figuring out what to tackle first on your site — or is it mostly guesswork?

Here's a low-pressure way to actually do something about your website this week: ask Dash one question.

Not a full audit. Not a strategy session. Just one real question — "why did my traffic change?" or "what should I focus on first?" — and get an answer based on your actual site, in plain English.

Sometimes the hardest part is just starting. This makes starting take about thirty seconds.

Go ask Dash something. Let us know what it told you.
