Zoom vulnerability article takeaways:
- uninstalling doesn’t fix it
- changing settings to disable video by default is the fastest step to immediately mitigate exposure
- more fixes supposedly forthcoming soon including
— 1) a fix, and
— 2) an improved full uninstall option. [There is currently no easy way to fully uninstall the app. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of this sort of invasive/persistent app installation without suitable uninstall options. The most notable/infamous other example that comes to mind is Dropbox.]
