It is with profound sadness that I announce the death of my dear friend and co-founder, Robert Stoeber, who passed away suddenly on March 23rd while vacationing in Brazil. He was 67 years old.
Robert was the driving force behind Workglue, but much more than that, he was a wonderful man. It is a sad day for the entire Workglue community, for which he has been such an innovator and inspiration.
Robert’s brilliance and technological innovations stem from the mid 80’s through the early 2000’s where he founded and sold several tech companies along the way. Over the last decade, Robert’s vision and passion enabled Workglue to deliver impeccable tech tools and advancements within its business management platform, field app for the trades, and easy-to-use software for small businesses alike.
Robert always loved tech, but his true passion was solving real world problems and creating happy customers. He often said, “the satisfaction of knowing that we really make a difference in our customer’s lives, either by giving them time off on nights and weekends, or by helping make their business more profitable...that’s the real reason we do what we do.” Outside of work, Robert loved his family. He always sat up a little taller and smiled a little bigger when he spoke of his daughters. He also had a thing for small planes, enjoyed traveling the world, and finishing the day with a nice glass of red wine. My thoughts and prayers are with Robert’s entire family. I will miss him…
