Dear Salem,
When individuals/families build a new building, open a new business, buy a building and remodel it, make upgrades to an existing building, figure out how to keep their operation running in a tough economy, etc.... they are investing (usually heavily) in you! Yes, they are investing in themselves, but only by first investing in you. They are telling you they believe in you. They believe you are worth the cost, worth the time, and worth the effort. They are telling you they believe you will respond and support them in return. It is so easy to brush past the effort and investment it takes to keep a local economy humming, but man are we blessed here in Salem to have individuals and families who are willing to shoulder the burden and invest the blood, sweat, tears, money, and time it takes to make Salem a nice place to live.
