Going the extra mile is just part of the process at C&D.

A potential client came to us looking to completely revamp their bakery packaging. They weren’t exactly sure what they wanted yet, but they showed us packaging from a local bakery they loved.

So instead of just asking for photos or measurements, we went straight to the bakery, picked up samples ourselves, and brought them back for the client to review in person.

They loved the sizing and style, so now it’s on to pricing, samples, artwork, and bringing their own brand to life.

Because at C&D, we don’t just make boxes, we work with our clients every step of the way to find the right packaging solution.

And yes, picking up the samples required a pizza taste test. Strictly business. 🍕😂

Meet the Machine: Part 3 – The Folder Gluer

This is where a flat sheet becomes a box.

Meet Terry, who runs our folder gluer, the machine that folds and glues each package into its final shape.

Before production begins, every setup has to be just right. From deciding where the glue goes to adjusting the machine for each box design, precision is everything.

Since the boxes have already been printed and die cut, this step can’t be rushed. A perfect setup ensures every box folds exactly as intended.

And here’s something most people don’t realize: production speed depends on the box. Smaller boxes can run at up to 32,000 per hour, while larger, more complex boxes may run at around 2,000 per hour.
