🚨 Wi-Fi problems are more than just an annoyance.

Slow connections, dropped calls, buffering meetings, and unreliable internet can quietly impact productivity across your entire business.

The reality is that many Wi-Fi issues aren't caused by your internet provider at all. Often, the problem is outdated equipment, poor coverage, interference, or a network that simply wasn't designed for today's demands.

A reliable Wi-Fi network should just work.

Your team shouldn't have to move around the office looking for a signal, reconnect to meetings, or wait for applications to load.

At Computer Plus Solutions, we help businesses identify and fix the root cause of Wi-Fi issues so employees can stay productive and focused on their work.

If your Wi-Fi has become a daily frustration, it may be time for a closer look.

Every day, it's a race.
Not between businesses.
Between businesses that prepare and threats that don't wait.

The companies that avoid major IT and cybersecurity problems usually aren't lucky.

They simply took action before something went wrong.

A few small steps today can prevent a very expensive problem tomorrow.

That's why we focus on prevention, not just repairs.

Small IT issues rarely stay small.
A slow computer.
A missed backup.
An outdated security update.

Most business disruptions don't start with a major failure—they start with a small warning sign that gets ignored.

The businesses that experience fewer emergencies aren't necessarily spending more on technology. They're simply catching problems before they become expensive.

That's why proactive monitoring, security checks, backups, and regular maintenance matter.

Prevent today. Avoid costly repairs tomorrow.

It happens in seconds: You get a text with a code, then a 'support' agent calls asking for it to 'verify' your account.

STOP. 🛑

That code is the final key to your digital life. No legitimate company—not Microsoft, not your bank, and definitely not us—will EVER ask you to read that code back to them.

Think of it like this: Your password is the front door lock, but that 2FA code is the vault key. Once you give it away, the door is wide open.

At Computer Plus Solutions, we see these 'social engineering' attacks every day. Have you seen more suspicious texts lately? Let us know below! 👇

Cybercriminals rely on you being in a hurry.
Next time you get a 'urgent' request, try the 3-Second Rule:

1️⃣ Look at the sender's actual email address (not just the name).
2️⃣ Hover over the link without clicking it.
3️⃣ Ask: 'Was I actually expecting this right now?'

Those 3 seconds are often the difference between a normal Tuesday and a major security headache.

At Computer Plus Solutions, we help Southern Minnesota businesses build a culture of security. Have you ever received a message that felt 'off'? Tell us in the comments! 👇

Every day, companies send millions of two-factor authentication (2FA) codes to help protect accounts from hackers.

Many organizations have started adding warnings directly into these messages:

⚠️ "If anyone asks for this code, STOP. It's a scam. Our employees will NEVER ask for it."

The problem isn't the warning.

The problem is that many people never read it.

They see the code, copy it, and immediately give it to whoever is on the phone, in a text message, or pretending to be technical support.

Unfortunately, cybercriminals know this. That's why they increasingly target elderly individuals, who may be less familiar with modern online scams and often trust someone who sounds professional or helpful.

So how do we make these messages more effective?

Instead of hiding warnings in small text, perhaps companies should make the warning the most visible part of the message:

🚨 NEVER SHARE THIS CODE WITH ANYONE 🚨

Then display the code below it.

Simple. Clear. Impossible to miss.

Technology can only do so much. The strongest security tool is still awareness.

Take a moment to talk with your parents, grandparents, and older family members. Let them know:

✔ No legitimate company employee will ask for a verification code.
✔ No bank employee needs your login code.
✔ No Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, or Facebook representative should ever request it.
✔ If someone asks for the code, stop the conversation immediately.

One shared code can give a criminal complete access to an account.

Stay vigilant. Stay informed. Protect those who are most often targeted.

This looks legitimate... but something feels off?
Trust that feeling.
Many of the cybersecurity incidents we see today don't start with hackers breaking through a firewall. They start with a simple email, text message, or phone call that looks completely normal.

A package delivery notification.
A Microsoft login alert.
A message from your bank.
An invoice from a vendor.
Even an email that appears to come from your boss.

The reality is that cybercriminals have become very good at making scams look real.

Before you click a link, download an attachment, or approve a login request, take a few extra seconds to verify it.

Ask yourself:
🔹 Was I expecting this?
🔹 Do I know who sent it?
🔹 Is this asking me to act urgently?
🔹 Can I verify it another way?

Those few seconds could save you from a stolen account, financial loss, or a major headache.

At Computer Plus Solutions, we have seen firsthand how a single click can impact a business, a family, or an individual. That's why we believe cybersecurity starts with awareness, not just technology.

Stay cautious. Ask questions. When something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.

We're always here if you need help.

🚨 Hackers May Not Need Your Password Anymore
The FBI is warning businesses about a phishing toolkit called "Kali365" that can compromise Microsoft 365 accounts without stealing your password.

Think about that for a moment.

Many businesses believe they're safe because they use strong passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication. Unfortunately, modern cybercriminals are finding new ways to bypass traditional security measures.

If successful, attackers could gain access to:
📧 Business Email
📁 OneDrive Files
💬 Microsoft Teams
📅 Calendars
📄 Company Documents

Before you click that next email link or approve a login request, take a second look.

Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue—it's a business issue.

At Computer Plus Solutions, we're helping businesses across Southern Minnesota strengthen their Microsoft 365 security and reduce their risk of account compromise.

📞 Not sure if your Microsoft 365 environment is secure? Let's talk.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is issuing this Public Service Announcement (PSA) to warn the public about an emerging Phishing1-as-a-Service2 (PhaaS) platform called Kali365, first seen in April 2026. Imagine getting a phone call that sounds exactly like your boss.

Same voice.
Same tone.
Same urgency.

“Hey, I need you to send this payment right away.”
“Can you text me the verification code?”
“Don’t tell anyone yet, I’m in a meeting.”

Now imagine it’s not actually them.

This is no longer science fiction.

AI-powered voice cloning is becoming so realistic that scammers can now imitate business owners, employees, family members, and even children with just a few seconds of audio pulled from social media videos, TikTok clips, voicemail greetings, or online interviews.

Think about that for a second.

Your voice is now part of your digital identity.
And cybercriminals are learning how to weaponize it.

We are entering an era where seeing is no longer believing…
and hearing is no longer proof.

Small businesses are especially vulnerable because many attacks are built around urgency, trust, and human emotion, not technical hacking.

A fake invoice.
A cloned voice.
A spoofed email.
A rushed employee.

That combination can cost a company thousands overnight.

This is why cybersecurity today is not only an IT problem.
It is a human awareness problem.

At Computer Plus Solutions, we encourage businesses to start creating internal verification procedures NOW:

Verify payment requests verbally
Use multi-factor authentication
Train employees to slow down during urgent requests
Limit sensitive information shared publicly online
Have cybersecurity protection and monitoring in place

Because the next cyberattack may not look like hacking anymore.

It may look like someone you trust.

Call now to connect with business.

A few years ago, most scam messages were easy to spot.Bad grammar. Strange email addresses. Poorly edited fake websites.
Today? That has changed completely.
Artificial Intelligence is now helping cybercriminals create smarter and more convincing scams than ever before. Fake emails can sound professional.

Fraudulent websites can look almost identical to real businesses. Even voice cloning and deepfake videos are becoming easier to create.
What makes this dangerous is that many attacks no longer look “fake.” In fact, some are designed to look so normal that even experienced users can be tricked.

We are entering a time where cybersecurity is no longer only about protecting computers, it’s about protecting people from manipulation.
Small businesses, families, employees, students, and even elderly individuals are all becoming targets because attackers know AI allows them to scale scams faster and cheaper.

The technology itself is not the enemy. AI is incredibly powerful and can help businesses become more productive and efficient. The problem is that bad actors are now using the same tools to steal information, impersonate people, and exploit trust.
That is why awareness matters more than ever.
At Computer Plus Solutions, we believe cybersecurity starts with education, preparation, and proactive protection, because in today’s world, being “careful online” is no longer enough by itself.
The future of cyber threats is already here, and it’s powered by AI.
