For this typography project from four years ago, I created a hand-drawn illustration of Sailor Moon and completed the piece digitally using my drawing tablet. My goal was to blend traditional art techniques with modern technology. Today also marks her birthday.

Happy Birthday to me! I decided to give myself a little challenge: complete a logo animation of my logo before June 28! I love the final result, and the loon call made it complete. I hope to do more of these motion graphics in the future. Originally planned for 20 seconds, but shrinking the time down to 8 was a wise decision.

Happy Birthday, Prince! He would have been 68 years old today, and we Minnesotans still miss him! It’s great to see the Twin Cities are celebrating his legacy this weekend! Here is a little motion graphic that I made as a tribute, using a Prince acrylic calligraphic piece I made ten years ago!

“The Big Ticket” made his return to the Target Center last Sunday to thunderous applause! The evening before, I completed the Kevin Garnett tribute project after hearing that KG will have his number officially retired by the Timberwolves!

Originally planned the previous year, then sketched in January. One of my most challenging projects yet was creating a design that encapsulates the history, accomplishments, and legacy of Kevin Garnett’s career with the Wolves.

Inspired by the late 90s design that KG wore in his Prime!
