ATTN: You'll need to know about Pegasus. It's time that the general public became aware of this program.

Pegasus is the most advanced and sophisticated spyware in existence. It was created by an Israeli cybersecurity firm and is licensed out to various governments. Certain departments of our Federal law enforcement have already acquired and used Pegasus, including ICE who have deployed it in various instances and not just against illegal aliens.

Once Pegasus is in your device, it can read everything on it, it has access to everything including:

Your messages and emails (including Whatsapp, Signal, and Telegram)

The images and videos in your photo gallery.

Access to your contacts and your call history.

It can secretly turn on your device's camera to secretly take pictures and record videos without your knowledge. Your phone will show no signs of the camera app being opened and running.

It can secretly turn on your phone's microphone to listen and record conversations without your knowledge.

It can track your location and retrieve your location history. It can also can retrieve your web browsing history as well.

It has a keylogger that can record every keystroke on a keyboard and/or every tap that you make on your phone's screen.

Here's the thing, spyware like this is nothing new. I have personally had spyware programs that can also do all of the above, you can see a demonstration of this at my YouTube page: https://youtu.be/QmkSV7Bpz_Y?is=Wd2i2mDBdkLPJZ_r

However, this is what makes Pegasus more dangerous than other spyware:

Pegasus is what is known as a "Zero Click" exploit. Normal spyware involves tricking the victim to install the payload on their devices through various methods. Pegasus doesn't require the target to do install or do anything. Once it's sent to the phone, it automatically gains access.

Pegasus can delivered via a phone call from a random phone number. The target doesn't even have to answer the call.

It can be delivered via "invisible or ghost text message". This is a message that can be sent to your phone, but it will be invisible, the message wont appear on your screen or in your inbox. You will not get a message notification.

Unlike other spywares, Pegasus is designed to evade security and antivirus. Your antivirus program will not detect it. It doesn't matter what type of stock or 3rd party antivirus you have on your device.

If you think the Flock license plate reading cameras are a privacy concern, you ain't seen nothing yet.

There is a company called SignalTrace that has very sophisticated software that can be added to current existing cameras

This software will give these cameras the ability to track people via their phones, computers, wearables such as smartwatches and can even track location via bluetooth headphones/earbuds.

It can also can also harvest information via a car's onboard computer system, meaning that it be able to access vehicle's that have Android Auto and the iOS equivalent. It will be able to read the sensors on modern cars such as diagnostic information and tire pressure.

To the "I don't have nothing to hide crowd", this is about whether you have something to hide or not. This is about you no longer having a reasonable expectation of privacy when it comes to your personal devices.

If you wouldn't hand your phone or computer over to a stranger and allow them to go through all your apps, files and etc., then why would you be ok with a company being able to do that simply because you passed through an intersection or traveled on a street with one of these cameras.

If you value your Constitutional rights, then you should have a problem with a system where law enforcement can bypass and get around your 4th amendment rights against unreasonable search and seizure.

Law enforcement typically has to have to obtain a warrant with probable cause in order to gain any type of access to our personal devices. They no longer have to go through that process since they now can get that information from 3rd party companies such as SignalTrace.

This is ripe for abuse. We have already been seeing a rash of incidents where Flock cameras are being abused, where some officers were fired for using the information from Flock cameras to track and gain information on ex partners, family members and etc.

I already know that hackers cannot wait for SignalTrace to be rolled out on a nationwide bases because the information they collect on the public will be a treasure trove. It's not be a matter of if SignalTrace gets breached, it's a matter of when they will get breached.
