June is Internet Safety Month and here’s the truth most businesses don’t realize:

You don’t need a sophisticated hacker targeting your business to be at risk.

You just need one employee reusing a password.

That’s all it takes to expose your entire network, your data, and your clients.

The scary part? Most businesses have no idea where they’re vulnerable until it’s too late.

The good news: it’s fixable.

A quick security check can uncover the gaps and help you lock things down before they become a problem: https://bit.ly/4urGtdf

Quick tech tip: use a password manager.

If you’re still reusing passwords, it’s one of the easiest ways for your accounts to get compromised.

A password manager fixes that.

It creates strong, unique passwords for every account and stores them securely so you don’t have to remember them.

No more:

❌ “Password123”
❌ Sticky notes
❌ Reusing the same login everywhere

If you’re not using a password manager yet, here are a few good options:

- 1Password
- Bitwarden
- Dashlane

We review a lot of Microsoft 365 environments, and one of the most common issues we see is overly complicated licensing.

A mix of Business Basic, Standard, Premium, and even a few Enterprise licenses may seem cost-effective, but it often creates security gaps, added management overhead, and higher long-term costs.

In our latest blog, we break down:
• Why Business Premium should be the anchor SKU for most SMBs
• Where Basic and Standard fall short from a security perspective
• Why mixed licensing environments create operational friction
• How to simplify licensing while improving security

If your Microsoft 365 licensing has evolved over time, this is worth a read. Read here: www.bit.ly/Microsoft365-Done-Right

AI is powerful, but it still needs boundaries.

More teams are starting to use AI in their day-to-day work.

That’s not a bad thing if it’s used the right way.

But without a few simple guardrails, it’s easy for things to slip:
🚩 Content going out without review
🚩 Sensitive information being shared
🚩 Tools being used without anyone really knowing

It doesn’t take much to avoid it:
Decide which AI tools are approved in your company
Make sure anything client-facing gets reviewed
Be clear about what should never be entered

AI can save time...but it still needs structure.

👉 A few simple rules now can prevent bigger issues later. To get started with safe AI practices for your business, visit: https://bit.ly/42xFz36

You leave for the weekend, but your business doesn’t.

And neither do the people trying to break into it.

The risk doesn’t stop after hours, but it does grow.

IT should just work.

You shouldn’t have to:
Restart things constantly
Wait for systems to load
Deal with the same issue twice

But for many businesses, that’s normal.

It doesn’t have to be.

If this sounds familiar, it may be time to rethink your IT.
