There’s something special about growing together 🌱

Today at F.P. Horak, we kicked off our “Start the Garden” day by planting our new community garden filled with cucumbers, bush pickles, peppers, garlic, chives, tomatoes, and more for our team to enjoy throughout the summer.

We also wanted our employees to take a little bit of that joy home with them, so everyone had the opportunity to pick out flats of flowers and vegetables to start their own gardens too.

We’re incredibly grateful for a team that works hard, supports each other, and helps make this place feel like more than just work.

And this is just the beginning 👀
We’re also in the process of transforming the back outdoor section of our office into a beautiful new sitting area for our team to enjoy.

At F.P. Horak, we believe strong communities are built when people step up for one another. We were honored to donate the use of our truck to assist The Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in the delivery of more than 10,000 lbs of donated food items for those in need across the Great Lakes Bay Region.

The Good Samaritan Rescue Mission provides emergency shelter and support services for homeless men, women, children, intact families, and veterans through Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan. Their work makes a real impact in the lives of so many in our community.

We also want to give a huge thank you to Joe Hohulin, a retired F.P. Horak employee, for donating his time on Saturday to pick up all of the donations and drive the truck. We appreciate your willingness to help make this happen.
