I had hoped that the IT outages I was starting to see would subside. They have not. Many companies worldwide are currently experiencing outages due to a security company update. While a fix is available, each affected machine and server requires a human with admin rights to resolve the issue. If you're having trouble accessing websites, software systems like Microsoft, or services like ATMs, airlines, banks, and more, it's likely due to this outage.

This most likely will happen more and more with other companies and updates as cyber security and protection gets more complex.
