First of all… THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
Seriously.
As Stein’s Designs continues to grow, the projects continue to get larger, more involved, and more time-consuming. And while I’m incredibly grateful for that growth, there’s one thing I have less and less of these days:
Time.
My time has become a very valuable commodity, and because of that, I’ve implemented a few changes moving forward.
First: If you have an unstable or consistently problematic payment history, I will no longer take on new work for you. That does not excuse or erase any past-due balance, nor does it eliminate the legal and civil consequences associated with unpaid invoices.
Second: If you’re simply window shopping with absolutely no intention of ever using my services, please keep walking.
I’m more than happy to answer legitimate questions and provide information. But if you repeatedly call, ask questions, get pricing, take up my time, and never have any intention of actually doing business, please understand that I eventually have to put a value on that time.
And if you’re someone who constantly makes inquiries but never follows through, don’t be surprised if I eventually stop being available when you decide you’re finally ready.
Third: If you schedule something with me, PLEASE follow through.
If you tell me you’re going to be somewhere at a certain time, be there. If something changes, communicate with me.
I understand that things happen. Life happens. Emergencies happen.
But repeatedly making appointments, not showing up, or showing up whenever you feel like it doesn’t just inconvenience me. It takes time away from customers who are actually waiting on me to complete their projects.
I really don’t want to be that guy.
But the reality is, I have five or six things going on at any given time. I’m designing, printing, engraving, ordering materials, answering messages, working with customers, managing projects, and trying to keep everything moving.
I simply don’t have time to have my time wasted.
This isn’t about being difficult.
It’s about respecting the people who respect my time, my business, and the work that goes into what I do.
I appreciate every single person who supports Stein’s Designs. Every order, every referral, every recommendation, every person who has trusted me with a project—it genuinely means more than you know.
And because of that support, the business continues to evolve.
Which brings me to a completely different question…
If I were to add another service or two, what would YOU like to see Stein’s Designs offer?
I’ve been thinking about expanding what I can do.
And quite honestly…
If everyone else can’t stay in their lane, why the hell should I? 😂
So let’s hear it.
What service would you like to see me add?
