Today the world is witnessing why national defense is still important, but sometimes the military suggests an idea that is just bad. With no relation to Elgia except that they are built in nearby Marietta, GA, the C-130 is the Ford or Mack 4 wheel drive truck of nearly half the world's militaries and is really good at what it does. It's a big plane, as big as a 737, and the idea of bolting floats to it and landing on water is pretty far fetched. These things would be as big as a ferryboat. Even if you can make structures that big from carbon fiber, they would be incredibly heavy. File in the "interesting but no way" bin.

Well, this is disappointing. A real, actual art museum is lending credibility to the concept of NFTs. Hopefully this won't prop up a crypto/NFT market that is sliding towards irrelevance. It's somehow not surprising that the old school art world would "discover" this well after it has hopefully peaked.

Kelley Blue Book says that the average electric auto in the U.S. costs $11,000 more than the average gas model. Even if long run costs are lower, it's hard for purchasers to get around that big price difference. The only way it will change is as more electrics are built, and every new plant to build them pushes it down. Honda and Korea's LG are making a massive investment that will help move them closer to parity -

This is a woman owned business. Ever since people first began making images on cave walls, there has been a confusion between the wonderful abilities of women to birth and raise little humans, and the fascination that people who are not women have with all the differences between sexes that make this miracle possible. Starting out as a humble online bookseller, you are probably well aware that Amazon sells pretty much everything anyone needs to survive. Add to that medical care - they've announced the acquisition of a health care provider, a "network of boutique primary-care practices." Maybe it's for people who shop at Whole Foods.

The deal deepens Amazon's presence in health care, an area that it has expanded by launching an online pharmacy and telehealth services, among other things.

Lots of noteworthy news lately - an Atlanta startup and friend of Elgia has reached a milestone with a $74 million investment that will create an ongoing structure for the company. SingleOps founder Sean McCormick is an Atlanta native and Holy Innocents School alumni. It's another example of finding a need in an underlooked place: landscapers, tree services and other "green" services are often small one truck operations, but nobody had created a platform for their specific needs. SingleOps lets them schedule, dispatch, communicate, and process payments in an easy platform.
