Service Restoration Update-

Update- HolstonConnect crews have worked through extreme temperatures today on restoration efforts of the damages incurred on Highway 66. Damages occurred during the morning hours due to an unauthorized individual physically cutting the main transport line serving members in Russellville, Whitesburg, White Pine, and portions of Bulls Gap and Persia.

Restoration continues for portions of the Bulls Gap and Persia areas as quickly as possible. Crews will remain on site until final restoration is completed.

Outage Update-
Crews are continuing to work diligently to make repairs to the main HolstonConnect transport line on Hwy 66. Please use caution in this area.
Progress is underway, but estimated restoration is still expected to continue throughout the evening. Another update will be provided at approximately 3:00 PM.

Update- HolstonConnect located the main fiber cut quickly.

The outage interruption has been identified as the result of unauthorized and unknown individuals cutting the HolstonConnect network infrastructure.

Repairs are underway, but could take several hours to restore services. HolstonConnect is working closely with local law enforcement on the matter.

HolstonConnect is experiencing a widespread outage affecting Russellville, Whitesburg, and some areas in Bulls Gap. The unexpected outage is due to a fiber cut in our main transport line. Crews are on scene for repairs and are working as quickly as possible on restoration efforts.
