4 things PTFS’s technology can do that the competition can’t:
1️⃣ 𝗜𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗼-𝘁𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗽𝘀:
Most “geospatial” content systems are, unsurprisingly, built around imagery and mapping data.
Knowvation GS does something a little different: it can geo-tag basically any document or dataset, geospatial or not, and then let you query across full text and location at the same time.
2️⃣ 𝗜𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁:
A lot of enterprise search tools work by pulling everything into a central repository before anything becomes searchable — which means duplicated storage, ingestion lag, and a lot of infrastructure overhead.
Knowvation skips that step. It continuously indexes content in place, across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid systems, combining that with OCR and AI rather than requiring a full data migration first.
3️⃣ 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀:
Knowvation GS supports cross-lingual search — type a query in one language, and it surfaces relevant results written in others.
For anyone working with multinational or intelligence-community data, that removes the tedious step of re-running the same search in every language the corpus might contain.
4️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗽:
This one’s harder to find elsewhere: Knowvation lets you combine Boolean, fuzzy-text (“Pattern”), and semantic (“Concept”) search with a geospatial query you literally draw on a map with your mouse — all in a single query.
Most competitors treat geospatial filtering and text search as two separate tools you toggle between. Here they’re the same query.
