Revecorp, with our partner Gerard Glinsky at ETS, performed a large on-road study for the Coordinating Research Council evaluating the capabilities of Remote Senors. The study involved having all three remote sensor vendors (Denver University, Opus and HEAT) operate their equipment on a freeway interchange ramp in Phoenix AZ for a week to sample a large number of public vehicles and test vehicles configured by Revecorp and ETS to simulate leaks of gasoline vapors, various levels of exhaust pollutants, and using a Portable Emissions Monitor to measure tailpipe emissions simultaneously to the remote sensors. We wish to thank CRC and their members from Ford, Stalantis, GM, and United States Council for Automotive Research members for guidance during the project and Gordon-Darby and SGS for their technical assistance on the project.

Revecorp, as a sub-contractor to our Partner Oncore, were just informed that the State of California intends to award a contract to us to Design, Build, Operate and Maintain the data infrastructure and system for the new CA Heavy Duty Vehicle Inspection Program "Clean Truck Check".

A battle is going on between vehicle manufacturers and vehicle owners about who owns the software in the vehicle you purchased. On one hand, the software has many safety features in it, and it would be could be dangerous to allow people to make changes on their own. On the other hand, only allowing the vehicle manufacturer to make fixes makes repairs much more expensive, and difficult to achieve. What is right? This is the same argument going on now in many other areas, such as do you have a right to fix your own phone, etc.

Massachusetts passed a vehicle "Right to Repair" law and is being sued by the vehicle manufacturers. There is much more of this to come, in many product areas.

The White House says it wants to loosen tractor makers’ hold on repairing high-tech farm equipment, which farmers say is driving their costs higher.

This is a much delayed outcome of the famous VW diesel cheating case. The case started with VW not dosing Diesel Exhaust Fluid at the necessary rate and that was because they had agreed to a certain DEF tank size and range between refills with the other German manufacturers. It was discovered during the VW case that these five German manufacturers had been talking for years to limit and share technology.

Michael St Denis testified as an expert on behalf of Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment (UPHE) in a case against the Discovery Channel's Diesel Brothers for selling vehicles with their emissions controls removed. Revecorp tested the vehicles emissions and documents the removed emissions controls. Thanks to groups like UPHE for doing the right things to protect peoples health!
