A good idea doesn’t always need a big investment to find out if it works.
Before building the full course, try one live workshop.
Before opening a storefront, try a pop-up or local market.
Before creating an entire product line, launch one or two products.
Before adding a new service, offer a smaller version to a few existing clients.
Before investing in an expensive platform or system, see if a simpler version of the process works first.
And pay attention to more than compliments.
“I love this idea!” is encouraging—but a booking, preorder, deposit, signup, or even a strong click-through tells you much more about what people will actually do.
Start small enough that you can learn. Then use what you learn to adjust, improve, and decide where it’s worth investing more.
Sometimes testing an idea isn’t about proving that it will work. It’s about discovering what needs to change before you go bigger.
