For Part 4: When DIY Stops Making Sense, I’d keep the caption reassuring rather than making DIY sound like a mistake. For many entrepreneurs, DIY was exactly what made sense when they started.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with DIYing parts of your business.

In fact, when you’re starting out, it often makes the most sense. You’re testing ideas, watching expenses, and figuring out what your business actually needs.

But there may come a point when doing everything yourself starts costing more than it’s saving.

Maybe you’re spending hours trying to make your website look right.

Maybe your business has grown, but your branding still reflects where you started.

Maybe you keep putting off a project because you simply don’t have the time—or the desire—to learn how to do it yourself.

Or maybe you’ve reached the point where you’d rather spend those hours doing the work you actually built your business to do.

You don’t need to outsource everything.

But when a task is taking too much of your time, keeping you stuck, or preventing your business from moving forward, it may be worth asking whether DIY still makes sense.

Redesigning your website isn’t just about making it look different… more trendy, cleaner, or similar to a business you admire.

Your first priority should be to make sure potential customers immediately know they are in the right place and where to go next. Good navigation and layout are key!

Secondly, design should always add to and not distract from your message online. Don’t let flashy colors or effects overshadow what you want your customer to experience when visiting your page.
