✅ The best answer is C!

Sometimes your phone's speaker is working perfectly fine, but the audio is being sent somewhere else!

Before assuming something is broken, try these simple steps:

🔹 Check Bluetooth: Your phone may still be connected to earbuds, a speaker, or even your car!

🔹 Check your volume: Make sure you're adjusting the media volume, not just the ringer.

🔹 Try another app: Is the sound missing everywhere or only in one app?

🔹 Restart your phone: Sometimes a simple restart resolves a temporary software glitch.

💡 The takeaway: No sound doesn't necessarily mean a broken speaker! Sometimes your phone is playing audio somewhere you didn't expect.

And if you chose D… well, we can't promise shaking your phone will help, but we understand the frustration! 😂

Still can't hear anything?

Batteries naturally wear down over time, but there are some signs that yours may be reaching the point where it needs attention.

Watch for:

🔋 Battery life that’s suddenly much shorter than it used to be
🔌 Your device shutting down even though it shows battery remaining
⏱️ Needing to charge much more frequently
🔥 Your device becoming unusually hot
⚠️ Swelling, bulging, or the screen/case beginning to separate

👉 TECH TIP: A worn-out battery doesn’t necessarily mean you need a whole new device. In many cases, replacing the battery can help extend the useful life of a phone or laptop.

⚠️ But a swollen battery is different. Don’t puncture it, press it back into place, or continue charging the device. Stop using it and have it professionally inspected.

A WORN-OUT BATTERY ≠ A WORN-OUT DEVICE.

Think your battery may be on its way out? PC Tech 2U & Total Phone Repair can take a look and help you determine your options.

Full bars but your internet is crawling? 🐌📶

Your Wi-Fi bars primarily show the strength of the connection between your device and your Wi-Fi network/router—not necessarily the speed of your internet connection.

You can have full bars and still have slow internet because of:

🔹 Internet service problems
🔹 Network congestion
🔹 Too many connected devices
🔹 Router or modem issues
🔹 Streaming, downloads, backups, or updates using bandwidth
🔹 A problem with the device itself

An easy way to remember it:

📶 Wi-Fi bars = connection to your router

🌐 Internet speed = connection to the internet

They're related, but they're NOT the same thing.

💡 So if you have full bars but slow internet, moving closer to your router may not fix the problem.

✅ The best answer is B!

When your computer says a printer is “offline,” it doesn't necessarily mean the printer is broken. It may simply mean your computer and printer aren't communicating.

Start with the basics:

• Make sure the printer is actually powered on and isn't showing an error.
• If it's connected by USB, check the cable at both ends.
• If it's wireless, make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
• Check that your computer is sending the job to the correct printer.
• Look at the print queue for a stuck print job.
• Try turning the printer off, waiting a few seconds, and turning it back on. If necessary, restart the computer too.

And whatever you do…

Stop clicking Print! 😂

Once everything reconnects, all those print jobs may suddenly decide to come back to life.

💡 The takeaway: “Printer offline” doesn't always mean something is broken. Sometimes your printer and computer just need a little help communicating.

And if you picked D… we can't confirm that threatening your printer works, but we understand the temptation. 😂

Still refusing to cooperate?

👇 What's your relationship with your printer: best friends or mortal enemies? 😂

Whether it’s your computer or your phone, letting your storage get extremely full can cause problems.

You may notice:

🐌 Slower or sluggish performance
🔄 Updates that won’t install
📲 Apps or programs that won’t install or update
📸 No room for new photos, videos, or files
⚠️ Apps or programs behaving unexpectedly

👉 TECH TIP: Your device needs some free storage space to operate properly, so don’t wait until you’re completely out of room to start cleaning things up.

But be careful before you start deleting! Make sure important photos, documents, and other files are properly backed up, and don’t delete files if you aren’t sure what they are.

YOUR DEVICE NEEDS BREATHING ROOM, TOO!

Not sure what’s taking up all your space—or what’s safe to remove? PC Tech 2U & Total Phone Repair can help you figure it out.

❌ FALSE!

Your touchscreen may still work perfectly, but that doesn't necessarily mean the damage is only cosmetic.

A cracked screen can:

🔹 Get worse over time from everyday use or another small drop
🔹 Allow moisture, dust, and debris to get where they shouldn't
🔹 Develop sharp edges or loose glass that can cut your fingers
🔹 Eventually affect touch sensitivity or the display underneath

💡 The takeaway: A working touchscreen doesn't necessarily mean everything underneath that cracked glass is protected.

If your screen is cracked, PC Tech 2U & Total Phone Repair can take a look and help you determine whether it should be repaired before the damage gets worse.

👇 Be honest—have you ever kept using a phone with a cracked screen because “it still works”? 😄

✅ The correct answer is C!

Before assuming your computer has officially gone to that great recycling bin in the sky, start with the simple things.

🖥️ For a desktop:
• Make sure the power cable is firmly connected.
• Check the outlet or power strip.
• Make sure the power strip is actually turned on.
• Look and listen for lights, fans, or sounds when you press the power button.
• Make sure the monitor is powered on and connected.

💻 For a laptop:
• Check that the charger is securely connected.
• Try another outlet.
• Look for a charging or power indicator.
• If available, try a known-good compatible charger.

And here's an important distinction:

“My computer won't turn on” and “my computer turns on but nothing appears on the screen” aren't necessarily the same problem.

If you hear fans, see lights, or notice other signs of power but have a black screen, your computer may actually be turning on—the problem could be somewhere else.

💡 The takeaway: Don't assume dead means DEAD. Start with the simple things before assuming you need a major repair or a new computer.

And if you chose D… hold off on the funeral arrangements. 😂

Still nothing?

They may look similar, but there’s an important difference.

🔌 A basic power strip mainly gives you more outlets. It doesn’t necessarily provide protection against power surges.

⚡ A surge protector is designed to help protect your electronics from voltage spikes that could potentially damage sensitive components.

And here’s something many people don’t realize: surge protectors don’t necessarily protect forever. Their protective components can wear down over time, especially after repeated power surges.

💻 Have a desktop computer or other equipment you really don’t want suddenly shutting off? You may want to consider a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). A UPS can provide temporary battery power during an outage, giving you time to save your work and safely shut down.

👉 TECH TIP: Don’t assume that because something has several outlets, it’s protecting your electronics.

MORE OUTLETS ≠ MORE PROTECTION.

Take a look at what your computers and electronics are plugged into—you might be surprised!

Not sure what kind of protection your equipment needs? PC Tech 2U & Total Phone Repair can help.
