Scott's Computer Repair spent the weekend in beautiful Breezy Point. Breezy Point Lumber was in desperate need of wiring repairs and maintenance. They also required upgraded powerful WiFi to cover their large warehouse facility. Next up was upgrading the WiFi network at the popular preschool "Little Tots Red Wagon" located only feet away from Breezy Point Lumber. The Lally residence was clocking only 30 to 40 megabits per second on their WiFi speed before Scott’s Computer Repair came by and now they are enjoying around 300 megabits per second reaching every inch of their home from 1st floor to 3rd. We repaired issues with their current wireless APs and upgraded some with a stronger model. Most importantly we configured the APs to maximize their coverage and speed. If you haven’t seen my article in the Rockaway Times yet I am reminding everyone that if you are aggravated by the speed humps along Shore Front Parkway- please continually send letters or emails to the DOT asap. I already have 53 letters sent but we’re going to need hundreds more to hopefully get these things removed. The city is doing whatever they want without input from the communities and I’ve had enough of it. The speed humps inhibit emergency vehicles from getting to where they have to go quickly and safely. Plowing snow properly is going to be nearly impossible in the winter. I can think of dozens of additional reasons why this is absolutely ridiculous. Enough with the overuse of speed cameras, speed humps, and elongated medians. I cannot wait until is gone and truly hoping Eric Adams will be an improvement of some sort. I will continue taking out full-page ads in the local newspapers urging locals to send letters and emails to the DOT requesting that they remove the speed humps. needs to know that we have had enough. Please be aware if you have Verizon FiOS it will most likely not be working correctly for sometime. If it is working correctly you are one of the few lucky ones. Someone cut one of the largest cables they have which could potentially be causing problems or entirely cutting off Internet to a large portion of the East Coast. Please refrain from calling we’ve received so many calls and texts since everyone is thinking that it’s their computer- I assure you it is most likely not. Thank you
