If you've ever come back from a shoot with 2,000 photos and stared at the import folder for twenty minutes before doing anything — FocusSort was built for you.

Beta 2 of FocusSort 2026 is live.

The whole app is one workflow now: Library → Cull → Edit → Deliver. You move forward, you don't hop between tabs. The AI sits beside you, not in front of you — every model runs on your Mac, and your photos never leave your machine.

What's different in Beta 2:
A cull pass that respects your eye. AI Focus Sessions surface the photos worth your time; Manual, Survey, and Compare modes let you make the call when it matters.

Edits that don't break your rhythm. Grading, retouch, masking, crop, HDR, soft proof — same panel, all reversible.

Delivery that handles the boring parts. Bulk rename, social media crop presets, Lightroom catalog export — pick a preset, hit export, move on.

Smart Collections that update themselves so "highly rated", "needs review", and "this week's deliverables" are always one click away.

FocusSort isn't here to replace Lightroom or Capture One. It's here to give you back the hours you lose between the shoot and the gallery.

If you're a working photographer, this beta is yours to break.

For the past year I’ve been building something that I think is going to change how we all manage our photos. It’s called FocusSort, and I’m opening the beta today.

Here’s the problem FocusSort solves: You come home from a photowalk with 1,500 photos on your card. Then you spend the next 4–6 hours hunched over your computer trying to pick your best shots, delete the dupes, and figure out how to organize everything. Sound familiar?

FocusSort does that for you. In minutes.

It’s a Mac app that uses AI to:
✅ Automatically cull your photos — finds your sharpest, best-exposed shots and flags the junk
✅ Organize everything with smart tags — it actually understands what’s IN your photos
✅ Search your library by description — type “foggy bridge at sunrise” and boom, there it is
✅ Edit without leaving the app — one workflow from import to final imageAnd the best part? Everything runs locally on your Mac. Your photos never get uploaded anywhere.

🚨 The beta is FREE but spots are LIMITED.

You’ll get to shape the app, give direct feedback, and lock in early access before the public launch.

👉 Sign up here: https://www.focussort.com/ are going to go fast. If you’ve ever complained about how long it takes to sort through your photos after a shoot... this is literally built for you.

Your library, your Mac, your rules. All AI runs locally on your Mac. Starting at $7.99/mo. No cloud, no compromise.

Last night, I had the opportunity to debut FocusSort at the WNY PhotoWalkers meetup at at Rising Storm Brewing where some of the members got a chance to see what is about to launch in beta.

I had an opportunity to present on digital asset management, the importance of unified library management and how to take control of your image library across local, attached, network and remote storage.

One of the single biggest problems we face as photographers is the bloat of our libraries, and being able to find what we want, when we want. Stay tuned for walk throughs of some of the latest developments i'm bringing to the app!

Beta drops in ONE week.

Huge Alpha milestones just achieved:

⚡️ < 1s app launch time
⚡️ < 8s library load time — even with 1,000,000+ photos

What started as a simple beta feedback loop has evolved into a full, long-term feedback platform — all grounded in our core principle: user-focused development first, always.

Speed. Scale. Simplicity.

Excited to bring this to Beta 🚀
