We have expanded our Red Wing operation.
For those who don’t know the complicated geography of Rochester Framing, most of our framing production happens at our shop in Red Wing.
Over the years, the projects have gotten bigger, the shop has gotten busier, and available work space has become something of a luxury.
It was also becoming less than ideal for meeting with customers. There’s nothing quite like discussing the subtle differences between two shades of white matboard while an air compressor kicks on in the next room.
So, rather than move our production shop, we moved the customer side of the business.
We have opened a dedicated framing design studio at 327 West 3rd Street in Downtown Red Wing, just a few blocks from our production shop.
The new space gives us a quieter, more comfortable place to meet with customers, design framing projects, and handle drop-offs and pickups. More importantly, it gives our production crew some much-needed room to work.
We also have plans for the space beyond framing appointments.
Bookbinding workshops? Art appraisals? Small exhibits? Artist events?
We have no shortage of ideas. Time and common sense will eventually narrow the list.
For now, we’re happy to have the doors open and see what develops.
If you’re in Red Wing, stop by and take a peek in the window. If you have a framing project in mind, we’re now taking appointments.
