Employees took part in two events last week that showcased BCC’s commitment to teamwork, community engagement and giving back.

A group of employees laced up our sneakers for the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, an annual 3.5 mile footrace, intended to promote fitness, community and camaraderie.

We were happy to support a great cause. A portion of the registration fee was donated to the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes. Thanks to Rob Brutovski for serving as our team captain and coordinating the event for us.

We’re grateful to everyone who participated and represented BCC Software with enthusiasm and dedication. We continue to strive to make a difference – one pace at a time.

On Memorial Day, we remember the courageous souls who gave their lives for the freedom we cherish. They are the sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, friends and neighbors who answered the call of duty with valor and dedication.

From after the Civil War, when communities came together to adorn the graves of the fallen with flowers and flags, to the present day, our nation has set aside this day to pay homage to those who have worn the uniform and defended our liberties.

Each flag that adorns a grave is a testament to the price of peace and the courage of those who paid it. Today, we stand united in gratitude and remembrance for their sacrifice. Let us carry their legacy forward with pride and resolve, ensuring that their bravery and service will never be forgotten.

As we enjoy the warmth of early summer, let us also embrace the warmth of appreciation for the freedoms secured by the selflessness of our fallen heroes. May their memories continue to inspire us, and may their spirits live on in the heart of our nation.

Part of BCC’s leadership team took a trip to Seattle, WA to visit some of our longstanding employees. As part of BCC’s commitment to giving back to the community, the group participated in a Cooking for a Cause challenge, where they cooked homemade meals for a local teen shelter. The group also had a little competitive fun and a guest judge selected which team had the best meal overall- congratulations Team 2! We are grateful for the time spent with our West Coast employees and the opportunity to give back to those in need.
