October is right around the corner, and we’re loving these shirts we put together for our friends at Mockingbird Bakery

There’s something special about seeing local businesses come together to show their support for those who have been impacted by breast cancer. We’re proud to help Mockingbird show their support this Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

It’s pretty special when one project comes full circle.

Back in the fall of 2023, Melanie Reynolds reached out to me about helping create a logo for a new nonprofit she was forming, the Central Illinois Nurse Honor Guard .

Nurse Honor Guards are made up of nurses who volunteer their time to honor fellow nurses at the end of their lives. Through a special tribute often called the Nightingale Tribute, they recognize the nurse’s years of service, compassion and dedication to caring for others. It’s a meaningful way to honor someone who spent their life caring for patients, families and their community.

Fast forward three years, and Melanie referred me to a group of nurses in Southern Illinois who were in the process of starting their own Nurse Honor Guard chapter.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside the Southern Illinois Nurse Honor Guard to create a logo that represents their organization and the meaningful traditions behind what they do. We worked through several ideas and revisions to make sure the final design incorporated elements that truly matter to their ceremonies, including the lamp and rose.

It has been an absolute pleasure getting to work with both of these nonprofit organizations and play a small part in helping bring their visions to life. I’m incredibly thankful to Melanie for thinking of me again and for the opportunity to help another Nurse Honor Guard establish an identity of its own.

Congratulations to the Southern Illinois Nurse Honor Guard as they begin this new chapter!

Who can guess what we’re up to now?!

We love when a referral turns into the opportunity to create something new! We’re working on a pretty special project for a new customer, and we can’t wait to share the finished product.

Any guesses what it might be?👇

Stay tuned for the reveal!
