Gerardo is an Industrial Design student at RIT, joining the team part-time as he finishes his final year. With experience in product development and prototyping, he enjoys bringing ideas to life through thoughtful design. Originally from Guatemala, he enjoys traveling, playing racquet sports, and keeping up with the latest tech.

BZD Shop Night 2026 was a great reminder of how much we value the people who make our work meaningful.

Thank you to the clients, friends, partners, and new connections who joined us for an afternoon of great drinks, thoughtful conversations, shared ideas, and exciting opportunities ahead. We were excited to welcome new team members and celebrate the people whose support, talent, and collaboration have made this journey possible.

We were also proud to celebrate Industrial Designer Adam Baker and his 10-year work anniversary. Adam’s creativity, dedication, and design perspective have helped shape the work we do, and the relationships we build, over the past decade.

We’re proud to see the New Kodak Alaris N2000 Series Scanners launched! 🚀

BZDesign contributed to the design and development of the KODAK N2040 and N2050 Scanners, with a focus on usability, refined details, and a smaller footprint.

The N2000 Series represents a meaningful step forward from the S2000 Series. One of the key design directions was to create a surface treatment reminiscent of frosted glass, giving the products a cool, premium, and modern character. The overall look and feel was carefully balanced to feel solid and dependable, while remaining visually lightweight and approachable.

Congratulations to the Kodak Alaris team and all the teams involved in bringing the N2000 Series to life! 👏

Behind every color and texture we design, there is a person - a special user that we think about CONSTANTLY.

For years, BZD has been proud to partner with Al Sigl Community whose mission is simple but powerful: use design and technology to give people of all abilities greater access to life's opportunities. It's a program built on real collaboration - researchers, designers, service providers, and, most importantly, the individuals themselves, all working together to create real solutions that serve children and adults with special needs.

We've been lucky enough to be part of that process more than once, helping bring new ideas to life through design. Right now, we're deep into our next project together, and honestly? It might be our most colorful yet.

We can't show you what we're up to yet, but the colors and textures alone are worth a look.

Details to come. For now, we're just proud to be working alongside a partner doing work that genuinely matters in our community.

We're excited to welcome Lucy Zombek to the BZDesign team!

Lucy's a recent Syracuse University grad and former Division I runner. She's helping to grow
BZD's sports and recreation client works through research, marketing content, and social media.

When she's not at BZD, she's training for her first marathon and can probably be found finishing
a puzzle faster than you'd expect.

Excited for what's ahead with her on the team!

We hit the ground running at the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge last night - literally.

Big thanks to our amazing team (and their families!) who showed up to represent BZDesign, and to all the familiar faces we got to high-five along the course. Rochester’s corporate community shows up strong for this event every year, and we love being part of it. We connected with partners from all over Rochester but big shoutout to Jillian Mooney who had her team at QED Technologies sporting one of our illustrations!

🏃‍♀️🏃 Our team placed 15th overall out of all Rochester companies - not too shabby!
