🐯 POSZICH BALL MAKING AN IMPACT FOR THE TIGERS

Friday night, Princeton’s special teams unit showed just how much of an impact it can have on a football game.

🏈2 punt returns for touchdowns.
🏈9/9 on extra points.
🏈And a blocked punt that unfortunately was wiped away.

That kind of production doesn’t happen by accident.

Leading the way is Special Teams Coordinator Coach Derek Poszich, who has been a part of Princeton football for 9 years (3 at the middle school 6 at the high school) and has coached more than 100 games for the Tigers between middle school, JV, and Varsity.

But Friday night was about more than the numbers from the past. It was about what Coach Poszich and this special teams unit are building right now.

Special teams can change the momentum of a game in a matter of seconds, and Princeton showed that Friday. The challenge now is to keep that same level of preparation, ex*****on and energy going throughout the season.

One big night is a great start. But if the Tigers can continue making plays like these, special teams could become a major weapon for Princeton as the season moves forward.

Friday was a statement. Now it’s about continuing to make one every week.

Clap it up for Fred and Cody!!!

Logan here from Studio 28 and part of the Fresh Off the Clock crew.

These fellas would probably kill me for posting this, but they deserve some credit, because what they’ve done recently is nothing short of amazing.

Between covering every sport at 50+ schools across the Two Virginias, bringing people like me in to help with graphics and coverage, and putting together a team of 10+ photographers to make sure the kids in our area are getting the recognition and pictures they deserve the amount of work these guys put in is incredible.

And the crazy part? They ask for absolutely no credit.

They’ve put on All-Star Games. They’ve helped small businesses. They’ve helped grow other people’s platforms. And most recently, they put together a clothing drive to give back to our community.

This has gone so much further than sports for all of us.

What we’ve been able to do together deserves some recognition. There are a lot of sports media pages in our communities, but I genuinely don’t believe there are many doing what this group is doing and even fewer who care about this community the way Fred and Cody do.

They put in the work because they care about the kids, the schools, the businesses, and the people who make this area what it is.

So, whether they want the recognition or not, I think I speak for a whole lot of people when I say:

Thank you, Fred and Cody.

Thank you for giving this community a platform.
Thank you for giving these kids the recognition they deserve.
And thank you for proving that sports media can be about a whole lot more than sports.
