The Computer Guy & Company Expert local friendly service serving the Roanoke Valley since 1996! The Computer Guy was started in 1996 as a way to make a little extra money by Bob Agoglia.

In 1998 the company was incorporated. Working on computers in the afternoons after work the business grew each year to the point that in 2003 it became a full time job. Three years later the growth was such that it could not be handled by just Bob Agoglia. On January 2, 2007 a store/office was opened at 313 Long Circle in Roanoke Rapids NC with a staff of four. The store carries a line of custom b

uilt computers, computer equipment, networking equipment, and an array of computer peripherals and cables. Computer repair services is available for all types of computers. So if you are tired of talking to India for support on your broken down Dell, bring it to the Computer Guy & Company. We speak your language!

We are looking for a technician trainee that is willing to learn what we do to support our customers. We are willing to train the right candidate but you must have the drive to learn and have good customer skills and a basic understanding of technology.

A successful candidate will possess a valid driver's license, a desire to learn, be on-time and dressed for business.

Work hours are 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday. Weekends off.

Position Available – Field Technician Job requirements are:

• Ability to test, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, OS, and Software issues on laptop and desktop computers
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
• Ability to replace all hardware on laptop and desktop computers
• Ability to navigate the BIOS on all laptop and desktop computers
• MS SQL Server, MS Access a plus
• Extensive networking knowledge – wiring, routers, switches
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment to meet requirements for production and quality
• Inventory control, quality control, organizational skills, electronics parts understanding, and sourcing knowledge are required
• Ideal candidate must communicate effectively, produce efficiently, organize and document accurately.
