Team CIPO attended the Construction Network Alternative Delivery Methods Panel today, and it was a packed room full of important conversation. 📍

Speakers from West Basin Municipal Water District, Inland Empire Utilities Agency, City of Anaheim, and City of Long Beach shared honest insights on how agencies are approaching project delivery, including Design-Build and other alternative methods.

Two of the panelists, IEUA and West Basin, are CIPO clients, and hearing them speak to their delivery methods firsthand was a proud moment for our team. This is exactly the kind of forward-thinking work we are here to support.

CIPO Release 3.5.0 is going live this weekend!

This release introduces AI-Powered Contract Analysis, allowing users to upload Contract Specification PDFs and ask the AI questions in plain language to extract and surface relevant information on demand. Instead of manually reviewing lengthy specifications to find what you need, you can now get answers in seconds.

Alongside that, Project Files and My Drive have been modernized on the latest Angular framework with infinite scrolling for faster file browsing, users can now add notes directly to uploaded files, and system administrators have new flexibility with dynamic print variables that can be managed without requiring system changes. We're also introducing a multi-language translation framework that lays the foundation for localized user experiences across the platform.

CIPO Mobile 1.9.0 is going live at the same time, bringing Dark Mode, notification deep links, file notes, and print and share functionality to the mobile experience.

Team CIPO attended the Construction Network Water Infrastructure Projects event, joining agencies from across Southern California to discuss growing CIP opportunities and the future of water infrastructure delivery.

One of our favorite moments of the day? Seeing our client Nick Lyuber, Director of Engineering at Rancho Water, take the stage as a featured speaker. Rancho is expanding their CIP in a big way, including kicking off their very first Progressive Design-Build project. CIPO is proud to be supporting them across multiple delivery methods as they grow.

Lunch after was the cherry on top! We are so grateful for clients like Rancho Water who are leading the way.

For public agencies evaluating PMIS platforms, most feature comparisons miss what actually matters. Nearly every enterprise platform has document management, RFI tracking, and mobile access.

The real differentiator is program-level capability: cost rollups across all active projects, funding source tracking across multiple projects, and board-ready reporting without manually pulling data together.

If the system requires an Excel export to answer basic program questions, that's a limitation worth understanding before you sign a multi-year contract.
