SI-TEX Marine Electronics

SI-TEX Marine Electronics For over 50 years, SI‑TEX Marine Electronics has been dedicated to making every voyage safer, smarter, and more reliable.

We design and deliver rugged, high‑performance navigation and communication solutions that stand up to real‑world conditions! The first product SI-TEX introduced back in 1975 was the HE-31 Chart Recorder Fish Finder. At that time it was considered to be the number 1 product of its type in the Marine Electronics business. Over the years SI-TEX introduced dozens of innovative Fish Finder products, i

ncluding the very first Color Video Fish Finding Unit the HE-705. The SI-TEX Fish Finder Products have evolved over the years, we now offer a full range of Fish Finders from the 6" 600 watt CVS-126 all the way up to 3kW Commercial Fish Finders used by many Commercial fishing boats throughout North America. On top of that SI-TEX was the leader in Loran C Navigator technologies introducing the very first compact reasonably priced high performance Loran C receiver the 757C. Loran C systems are no longer used but today SI-TEX offers a full range of GPS Navigators and Color GPS Chart Plotters. In 1984 SI-TEX was one of the first companies to introduce a compact Raster Scan Radar unit the T-100, and believe it or not we still occasionally have customers call our service department for assistance in repairing a T-100 Radar because after 36 years of use it just stopped working. Today SI-TEX offers a full range of High Performance Radar products starting with the 7" touch Screen 4kW T-760 Radar all the way up to 19" 25kW Radars with 9ft Open Arrays used by Commercial Ships of all types and sizes

In 1994 SI-TEX Introduced the SP-70 Autopilot System which is a very rugged Commercial Autopilot System that became very popular with the Commercial Fishing Fleets in the Gulf of Mexico. The SP-70 Autopilot is still a current product today and continues to be a popular Autopilot used by Commercial Fishing boats. besides the SP-70 Autopilot, SI-TEX has a full range of Autopilot Systems ranging from the Compact SP-120 Autopilot all the way up to the SP-38 Commercial Autopilot System for vessels up to 100ft or more. So as you can see even though SI-TEX Marine Electronics may not be a household name we have a pedigree in the Marine Electronics Business 2nd to None. Our Customer Service and Support is considered by many to be the best in the business. So when you are looking for Quality Marine Electronics for your boat make sure to check out SI-TEX Marine Electronics.

Panbo Reviews our Sirius 12 Stabilized Binoculars!

Within a few months of leaving to travel America's Great Loop, I decided there were two things my boat was sorely lacking. The first was a set of wireless headsets or marriage savers -- rarely has a product been so accurately named. The second tool I found myself lacking was a pair of stabilized bin...

If your looking for a complete standalone Radar system that won't break the bank the SI-TEX T-760 is your ticket. Unlike many of our competitors radars that once you purchase the Radar antenna you still need to buy one of their Multi-Function Displays. The T-760 is a complete package with NO need to purchase a separate display!

KODEN KGC-300 IMO GPS COMPASS

The GNSS backbone for NVIC 01-16 compliant electronic navigation

Confident electronic navigation starts with trusted heading and position.

The Koden KGC-300 IMO GPS Compass delivers the high-integrity THD/GNSS data your ECS/ECDIS and AIS depend on—so you can move toward NVIC 01-16 electronic chart and publication use with confidence.

Key performance highlights
IMO-certified THD & GPS navigator:
Provides approved True Heading and GNSS position for SOLAS and workboat applications.

High-accuracy heading & position:
Heading accuracy to 0.5° rms, GNSS position to 3 m (DGPS), with fast, stable tracking.

Redundant safety design:
Built‑in electronic backup sensor maintains heading output if GNSS is temporarily blocked (bridges, cranes, high structures).

Data for the whole bridge:
Up to 5 heading data output ports, feeding ECS/ECDIS, radar, AIS, autopilot, VDR and more.

Modern, sunlight-viewable display:
4.3" high‑resolution color LCD with clear heading, ROT, nav data and POB display modes.

Standards-based integration:
IEC 61162‑1/2 and NMEA 0183 output sentences for easy drop‑in to existing bridge networks.

NVIC 01-16 & electronic chart carriage
Build your NVIC 01-16 solution on solid data.
When you move from paper charts to official electronic charts and publications under NVIC 01-16, your ECS/ECDIS and AIS rely on one thing above all: reliable, standards-compliant heading and GNSS position.

The KGC-300 helps you:

Support NVIC 01-16 electronic chart use:
By providing stable THD and GNSS data to RTCM‑class ECS/ECDIS solutions used in lieu of paper charts.

Improve situational awareness:
Accurate heading, ROT and position data enhance track-keeping, route monitoring and alarm functions on compliant ECS/ECDIS.

Simplify compliance upgrades:
IMO-certified GPS compass plus navigator in one unit reduces boxes, cabling and integration complexity when refitting for electronic carriage.

Position it this way to your customers:
“Your NVIC 01-16 electronic chart system is only as good as the heading and GNSS feeding it. The Koden KGC-300 gives that system the accuracy, redundancy and approvals it needs.”

Ideal for
Tugs, workboats and OSVs upgrading to electronic charts

Coastal cargo and passenger vessels modernizing bridge systems

Newbuilds needing an IMO THD/GNSS solution that’s NVIC 01-16–ready

KODEN KGC-300 – Make your move to electronic navigation on a compass you can trust.

USCG NVIC 01‑16: What It Actually Requires:

NVIC 01‑16 governs U.S. domestic vessels using Electronic Charts (ENCs) instead of paper charts.

It requires the GPS/EPFD to meet IMO/IEC performance standards, including:

Position update: < 2 seconds

Accuracy: 8–20 meters

Resolution: 0.001 minutes

Must be a true EPFD (not cellular‑based)

Must meet IMO MSC.112(73) or IEC 61108‑1 performance

Why take a chance with a non‑IMO GPS?
