And here is the machine, back up and running!! I would've loved to have shared this simple little story in one post, but, FB won't let you post pics/vids at the same time for some reason 🤷‍♂️ anyway, the machine was fixed, and now it's been sold on to its next owner who is a wonderful lady running her own small business preparing floral arrangements.... and to think - that switch came from something that was bound for the trash.... this defoliator itself, had it not been fixed, would've also been trashed.... but, with just a little bit of patience, I was able to repair it and make a decent profit! Very happy to see it in the hands of a very capable client who was just as happy to have an awesome machine at a great price!

And here are a few pics while working.....miraculously, I found an exact fit drop in replacement that I already had in my parts bin from tearing down previous non-working electronics....I couldn't tell you for the life of me where this "new" switch came from originally..... it most certainly came from something that was a goner,.... but I knew the switch was useful! I can't tell you how many times this has happened 🤣🤣

It's been a crazy past month or so.....sooooo many projects in the works 😅 Remember the cash registers? This one came out beautifully, and works perfectly now! Not only that, when I first got it to work, I was able to access the register's memory of the previous people who worked on it. And, through some weird loophole in the universe - MY name was the first on the list!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing at first 😆 I was like, "no friggin WAY - this thing is sentient!" 🤣🤣 but, no, apparently they just had some dude named Rick working there lol.... very funny coincidence... it's now in the hands of a new, very happy business owner in Michigan, ready for its next many years of service! 🙂

This may look like a small, innocent little piece of plastic, and, objectively speaking, it is 😂 However, it marks something far greater in my journey towards becoming a more creative, engineering minded, professional repair/restoration specialist. Tomorrow, this tool will officially be entered into the world of Military/Department of Defense Aerospace Engineering MIL Spec Tooling. It will be given an official Tool ID, and be entered into the database of all projects that use this tool. This means a lot to me personally as I love doing this type of work, and now it's something that's actually going on to live beyond me - as a tool that helped build some of the most advanced feats of engineering in the world. I'm thankful for where I am now, and I love continuing my efforts every way I can. Thank you to everyone who's helped me along my way. I owe it all to you. ⚡️

Really awesome vintage JVC Vidstar HR-3600AU early VHS video cassette player!! Apparently it's "combo guitar amp repair season" 🤣 Had this Marshall amp with a dead input jack. Went in and fixed the jack, and good as new! Not a difficult repair, but, man is it great to have this amp back to playability! Now just waiting on the parts for my Crate GLX-212 🤞🤞

And here it is! Largest custom prototype out of RM Repair & Restoration, like 90% finished!! It technically needs a "top" and a "bottom" to enclose the structure, and then finally to glue it together, but, the most important parts are finished 🙂 Any guesses as to what this is? (P.s. for the one person who knows already, don't give it away 🤣) What does it look like to you?
