HAPPENING THIS THURSDAY! Keep reading for info👇
One of my favorite things about the Central Valley is how often food, small business and community impact all meet in the same room. ❤️
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to attend Media Preview Day for the 40th Annual Edible Extravaganza, and it was such a great reminder of why this event has remained a Stanislaus County tradition for FOUR decades.
I spent the day getting a little preview of what’s coming, connecting with some of the local businesses participating this year, and, of course, grabbing a few interviews, including this one with Sugar Rush! 🍰✨
But Edible Extravaganza is about so much more than really good food.
Hosted by Center for Human Services, the event brings together 50+ local restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries, dessert makers and beverage vendors for one night at Modesto Centre Plaza — while raising money for programs serving our community. Proceeds support CHS programs including youth shelter and housing services, family resource centers and behavioral health programs.
As someone whose work is centered around telling the stories of our communities and the businesses and organizations that make them stronger, I love seeing an event that does exactly that on such a big scale.
And 40 years?! That deserves to be celebrated. 🥂
