When choosing an internet provider, one of the most important questions you can ask is:
How is the network built?

While many networks rely heavily on aerial infrastructure attached to utility poles, BTEL invests in underground fiber construction whenever possible. By placing critical infrastructure underground, fiber networks can be better protected from weather, falling trees, and other environmental factors that commonly impact above-ground facilities.

As you can see here, building an underground network requires significant planning, equipment, and hard work, but we believe reliability is worth the investment.

Before choosing a provider, don't just compare speeds.
Ask how the network is built.

Today, our team participated in heat safety training to learn more about recognizing the signs of heat-related illness and the importance of staying hydrated and taking care of ourselves while working in the Texas heat.

Meet Jonathan, our Director of Operations. Jonathan started his career at BTEL in 1990 as AVP, then became a Comptroller until April of 2023 when he then assumed his current title. Jonathan stated, “BTEL has always been a family orientated business environment. I was fortunate to know Beulah K. Hendrix and having the family lineage as our President/CEO from Charles Hendrix to John H. Greenberg to Charlie Greenberg has always impressed me.”

Fun Fact: Jonathan married his high school sweetheart, Anita, who he dated for 5 years and has now been married to for 42 years. Anita’s grandfather sold the telephone company to Charles and Beulah Hendrix in 1946!

We love having Jonathan as part of our BTEL family and we are thankful for all that he contributes the BTEL!💙
