We have resisted including topics focused on current events on Toucan. Largely we have viewed the categories that people select into as longer-term associations than many news cycles and topics. However, some current events stop us in our tracks, and it is important that we take the time to talk about them. We have added a new Huddle category, “Ukraine,” giving our users a place to connect and share. Unfortunately, Toucan is US-only for now so this is not a resource for people on the ground or elsewhere around the world, but we truly hope it helps people here trying to process what is happening there.
