A new look is coming to the CS-8.

We’ve been working on an update that brings the CS-8 even closer to the raw, imperfect magic of real 8mm film.
We’ve added more of the little things that made old home movies feel so special: grain, scratches, subtle color shifts, rounded corners, and the random imperfections you’d expect from actual film.
This is still a beta. We’re putting the final touches on the colors and effects, but I wanted to share a first look.
I shot this myself while on vacation with my family this summer. I’m definitely not a videographer, but I absolutely love how it turned out. It feels less like a video from 2026 and more like something we pulled out of an old box of family movies.
And the best part: this will be an easy firmware update that you can install on any CS-8, including the one you already own.
