The New Macbook Neo is Here!
Ever wanted to get a MacBook, but didn’t want to spend over $1,000? The new MacBook Neo may be the perfect solution for you. I’m one of those people who tried to get by with older MacBooks due to the steep price of a new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
I recently purchased the MacBook Neo (in Indigo) for myself. I’ve been using a Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 Laptop with 16GB of Ram. It’s a beautiful laptop, and if you like Windows OS, I definitely recommend it. It has some of the best battery life I’ve seen in a Windows machine.
The performance of the MacBook Neo… To test reliability and overall performance of a machine, I like to do several tasks at the same time and open several different apps/programs to actually try to lock it up. The MacBook Neo outperformed my Dell… wow. Must be the fact that Mac OS is leaner and more stable than Windows, because the actual hardware of my Dell has higher specs.
Let’s talk about battery life! The battery performance of the Neo BLOWS AWAY any Microsoft based machine I’ve EVER used! Period. I could use my MacBook on and off all day and not have to charge it. That being said, the MacBook Air and Pro supposedly have even better battery life than the Neo. But I’m more than happy with the Neo’s battery performance.
Display quality… I find I get less eyestrain on my MacBook Neo than even my Dell with FHD+, beautiful clear display. The Neo has a bright and clear display like a traditional MacBook that is easy on the eyes without that piercing brightness that some laptop screens and Android phones have.
Ease of use… If you’ve always used Windows based machines, learning the Mac OS will be a learning curve. Once I got the hang of it, I found it easier and smoother to use than Windows. The MacBook Neo is perfect for my needs, especially since my iPhone and AirPods both sync perfectly to it. I can easily and seamlessly switch between the Neo and my iPhone to edit documents and access files and photos from iCloud. The touchpad and keyboard are super easy and comfortable to use. I’ve always used a mouse with my laptops and don’t find myself needing it with the Neo.
Portability… The MacBook Neo is, by far, the most portable machine I’ve ever owned. It’s a perfect “pick up and go” machine. In a hurry? Just close the lid and run with it. It uses VERY little power when it’s sleeping. I’d still recommend a carrying case though.
A couple things worth mentioning. If you absolutely need touchscreen or backlit keyboard, the MacBook Neo isn’t for you. Apple has a touchscreen laptop in the works (it will be a much higher price than the Neo), and currently their higher model laptops have backlit keyboards. Personally, for me, having neither of those is fine. I barely ever use my touchscreen on my Dell and the keys are easy enough to see (and type on) on the MacBook Neo.
All in all, I highly recommend the MacBook Neo. One of the best tech purchases I’ve ever made. Available colors: Indigo Blue, Silver, Blush Pink and Yellow.
